COPS TV Show, That’s Mr. Jackson, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department
Officers Ruiz and Hurley stop a vehicle for expired plates. The car is occupied by a female driver and an elderly male passenger. The driver informs officers that the car belongs to “Mr. Jackson” and that the passenger is carrying a permitted weapon on his hip. While Officer Hurley completes his records checks, Officer Ruiz compliments the passenger for dressing so sharply and discovers that not only is he the Mr. Jackson the driver mentioned, but he is also Michael Jackson’s father. Officer Ruiz and Mr. Jackson continue to talk for a while about his concealed weapon, and Officer Hurley advises him and the driver to resolve the registration issue before he sends them on their way.

  1. Expired tags and insurance doesn't mean the vehicle automatically gets towed. He wasn't driving the car, the person driving the car is responsible for having insurance and registration regardless of who owns the vehicle. As far as his gun, Nevada is an open carry state. He had it on his hip in a holster that was not considered concealed. But he has a CCW permit because of who he is. That's pretty common for a celebrity. The only unusual thing about the stop is why they were both out of the vehicle talking to the cops. It seemed it was more for show. But it's definitely MJs dad. He used to go to the swap meet on Decatur all the time when I had a booth there everyone always used to see him and he was a good guy always positive and smiling.

  2. Anyone who praises Joe Jackson should know that he was very abusive to all his children when they were growing up.

  3. So the registrations expired and can't remember what the other one was but most people would not be able to drive the car away until they get the registration renewed. I guess if you think you're somebody you can get by with more stuff I don't know.

  4. When when you use your children to enrich yourself you can dress nice. It's crazy that that cop treats him differently, she definitely wouldn't have been okay with your average person having a gun on their hip when conducting a traffic stop.

  5. If they were going to show this footage you’d think they’d have cut out the end which totally ruins it. They let them get back in and drive????? 🤯 I’ve seen heaps of poor cunts on cops go to jail for shit like this 🤯🤬

  6. Michael Jackson was no hero and his dad is riding around with a gun and expired license and insurance . what is so special about him that he gets off with that, model citizen my A"*

  7. Only bc he is a well known person can he keep his firearm on him. I support LEO but don't bootlick. Anyone that conceal carries sees the bs from the officers as any other citizen would have immediately been removed from the vehicle and had their firearm stripped for "safety"

  8. They only let them go because of who he is. Anyone else that car would have been towed and they would probably b in jail for the gun.

  9. This is an instance of the kind of senseless "privilege" that races through our society at every level benefitting those bringing doom to it, and why? Fear is an element.

  10. Next level privileged😲. Just throw MJ's name around. That is how you know you are dealing with an ICON.
    Looking fly my man 👌

  11. So wait any normal person would be ticketed and have there vehicle seized and impounded for this correct??? Why are they driving the vehicle away? I thought no person was above the law??? I must have been taught wrong.
