If your idea of law enforcement work comes from television shows and Hollywood, chances are that you don’t appreciate the mundanity, monotony, paper-pushing, and endless-waiting-around-for-something-or-someone that describes most of your average police officer’s workday. In this video we take a brief step back from the celebrity arrests, pursuits, tasings, and Metro State videos to cover a more relatable — and far more common — law enforcement investigation: a hit and run.
This footage of police mundanity comes your way out of Lewiston, Idaho, as a Lewiston police officer attempts to investigate an alleged hit and run, only to find himself up against an uncooperative family.

Funny thing few months later b 5 cops fining u no masks etc ðŸ¤ðŸ¤” wat a fuked up world ppl
He could've been more mature but then again if someone just comes up to me and says they were driving down the road, noticed their mirror was hit, and came back to try and accuse me of doing it, I'm not gonna just say sure bud here's my info.
The fuck kind of restaurant is that??
This man is one jiffy lube coupon expiration from beating his wife
I think it's Mr. and Mrs. A** HOLE! I also think the nice Office should have waited in the street for the ugly guy to drive out, pull him over and have him walk the line! 😂😂
yeah the son did hit the mirror family of liars
Why does every Mexican restaurant in America look exactly the same lol. Other than that wtf was that guy thinking? They had clearly been drinking. Besides the behavior the guys face was flushed and eyes were watery. Plus the stupid drunk smirk of confidence. The cop was being super nice the whole time. Not to mention the guy approached the cop initially.
Hi officer, I'm innocent, but you have no right to prove I'm lying!
How about just tell the truth for once??? It’s called an accident for a reason. All this wasted effort trying to cover for a $150 mistake.
A bad move was when the empl came out and said that they don't have a camaras in the back side ,
That idiot heard about it and came out with a story
Wait were all shitting on the dad but it worked. The cop left
You know that dad is a control freak telling the cop he doesnt have jurisdiction telling him youll see n wait out. Then have the nerve to tell the cop hes an asshole. Id argue he was too polite
It's almost like the guy changed personalities mid-conversation after the employee came outside in the beginning. From cordial to rude and entitled.
Thats what cops should do shut up be nice your here to protect and serve.
This guy literally set himself up for failure
Clap em in irons and sort them out, outside in front of the restaurant
This is the problem he's the type of parents that teach their kids and it's okay to disobediologist and treat them like crap shame on the parents for that s***.
I hope the kids find this video, read the comments, and realize their parents are abject assholes but they can become decent humans.
What a piece of 💩!
Lock him up!
The power of being white is astounding
You know what. The cop should have taken a seat in the waiting area until the birthday party was over in a couple hours. How dare he be so rude to Ms Karen and Mr Karen!!!!!
The cops being a ass hole!? Okay Karen your degenerate husband hit a vehicle and is blaming it on your son…
The son acts like the dad even dressed similar.
Casa Boniiiiiiiita, Casa Boniiiiiiiita
Yea I don’t think they could’ve gotten a nicer cop … what a bunch of pricks .. especially that female . It’s usually these privileged, pampered women
I’ll bet my paycheck he beats his wife .
All cops ever want to do is embarrass people even if they have done nothing wrong. The cop should have had no problem waiting outside, but he chose to hover over their table just so the show could be on him. What a dick.
'merica!
This overweight family in a nutshell: 'waaahhhh i broke the law and im being held responsible for it!!!!!'
Teaching his kids it's okay to be a piece of shit and lie
Walks out picking food out of his teeth! Classy!
just imagine an intoxicated black/brown father telling a cop "you can wait outside", and "you don't need to act like an asshole," . ..would have been a very different video.
