What’s On This Cop’s Gun Belt? – Everything Law and Order Blog

I’m assuming most cops carry very similar things, but since I’ve been asked so many times, I decided to finally show what I lug around on patrol. Enjoy and feel free to ask any questions.

  1. Thanks a million! This blog was very helpful and informative. That first aid pouch and small leather bag with surgical gloves is priceless!

  2. A Rem'870 ? I'm a little surprised. I thought american cops had the Mossberg Maverick (M88) as shotgun. Am i totally wrong or is it used too (maybe in some other states, or has been used and replaced by the Rem'870…) ?
TBH i would like buy a M88, but i'd be proud to tell to my friends "i have a shotgun used by american police forces". I won't tell that if it's not true, so if Mike or any other cop, retired or in activity, would give me an answer about that, it would be nice 🙂

  3. Great setup your duty belt and holders look like mine after 28 years. LOL! I just replaced my handcuff holder radio holder and glove holder. I use closed holders guys on my dept. Use open and they got surface rust on the guns and magazines and handcuffs. Ouch!

  4. My ex husband had his leg run over on a pipeline job by a trackhoe and it was an Ex-cop that worked as a supervisor for his crew that administered first aid untill the ambulance came which took quite awhile, they were between 2 towns and there was a large traffic buildup because of the pipeline work going on parrallel with the roadway. The supervisor had always carried a med kit as a cop and still did by habit and because he did they were able to move the trackhoe from his leg instead of leaving him under until medics arrived. He did lose his leg but could have been so much worse. Thank you for doing a job where you get shit from a lot of the people you protect and put your life on the line everyday anyway. Not everyone could or even would.

  5. great video like the safariland basket weave and the wear and tear just like mine.  27 years old.  Replaced the duty belt with a Uncle Mikes basket weave real nice.  Replaced my radio holder and handcuff holder and glove holder.  Next my baton and flash light holder.

  6. Great video and duty belt set up my crap is almost 30 years old my buddies tease me about getting new replacement items for it.  I just replaced my radio holder cause my safariland one took a shit and my handcuff pouch and glove pouch.  Next to go my mag pouch OC pouch and flash light pouch.  I use all safariland basket weave like many of you guys.  The younger kids go for nylon crap that turns gray after the winter season and salt fucks it up.  I use a tactical condor belt now with a cobra buckle very nice for tactical assignments.

  7. great presentation safariland rules had mine 27 years and it bit the dust hell your duty belt and equipment pouches look like mine old and worn out.  I just replaced my duty belt with uncle mikes and my handcuff case and glove case very soon my light and ASP case and OC case my wife is going to kill me.  Why don't you carry your ASP I use my frequently breaking windows and getting a compliance holds on subjects.  Knocking a few knee caps around to.

  8. After seeing that scary AR I’m going have nightmares. I am offended. I think I’m like that reporter, I have PTSD now just from looking at it.

  9. So I have a question, Why do Cops always make sure everyone knows he's a cop? You dont see that from any other Industry I mean no one creates a youtube channel just to let them know they are in sales or in construction but a cop always makes sure.
So is it that you all are insecure and need people to know you are a cop or are your ego's so big that you need people to know?

  10. That's pretty weak. I carry more on my belt when feeding the chickens. I gotta keep that damn rooster in line.

  11. After watching your videos and agtwr alot of careful thought, I have concluded that it would be a pleasure tpo be pulled over by you. Accept for the getting a ticket part, that's never pleasant. You seem like a decent fella for sure.

  12. I'm a CDL holder, I travel out of the state of Pennsylvania and I was wondering is it leagal for someone to carry an expandable Baton as a tire thumper?

  13. Damn i have almost the exact same holster for my .45. Not a cop its just my everyday carry weapon. The only difference is your thumb retention. And my side arm is a springfield. Lol
