California Zero Bail policy – Everything Law and Order Blog

I’m still looking into the specifics of this new policy.
I also wonder what the grace period is that they are giving patrol officers to fully implement this new way of policing into their daily work.
THIS HAS GOT TO BE A REAL BUMMER to the MANY officers and deputies who live for arresting people, and also a real crimp to the dirty cops who love threatening people that if they “don’t admit guilt, your staying in jail”

  1. "No bail" doesn't matter when they think they can "legally" steal their property…….they depend on people living behind their means. They can run up fees to an unaffordable amount. So if they collect the fees, it's a pay day, if they can't pay, they auction for a bigger pay day ….plus an "other pay" officer bonus….just sayin'

  2. im of 2 minds about the zero bail policy, first why should a rich person buy their way out of jail that keeps a poor man inside until after his trial? two, we see in new york violent criminals walking right out of jail to shove someone in front of a subway train the very next day. its not being properly applied. if they are arrested for a violent crime they should be required to post a large cash bail. but some chickenshit crime like being in the back seat of a stolen car, they cant be prosecuted anyways so asking for a cash bail is just stupid.

  3. If you have a warrant you should be arrested. If you're driving a stolen car you should be arrested. Crime is about to skyrocket out there.
