—————Story—————-

While exploring Orange Park, it was relatively quiet with no incident until we met john, while subtle, he was shaking his head, he was clearly not in the mood to serve the very public he works for. You huffed and puffed, but that door just didn’t come off the hinges.

  1. What's your worst auditing experience to date? So far it seems like you've been able to remain on this side of freedom, have you ever felt like you were close to being locked up?

  2. Florida is leading the way in how to audit, you and "captain awesome" are on the top 5 list of auditors I watch. Keep up the good work!

  3. This is where de-compartmentalisation has a great argument, currently these systems are divided into lots of offices, departments, sub-offices, sub-departments and niche places where you as a Citizen have to unravel complex knots placed there without you in mind. It all leads to less responsibility from individuals in public offices and less successful results for you and that's the way they like it.

  4. Typically 3-5 min for public comment but if you submit and request for special presentation you may get more time to address specific issue. Small towns are much more open to allow extra time. Larger towns not so much.

  5. Ironic how our public servants spend OUR tax money to wall us off with glass at these public buildings !!! Can you say disconnect ??? What are they hiding, or are afraid of ???? Fortunetly we live in a small town that is the county seat and we can walk into any of the 3 entrances of the county Courthouse, which is a century old, on the historic building registry and not a guard in sight, no searching, no metal detectors and you walk into any office, auto license, county auditor, assesor, etc and there are no windows, just a counter and you can talk directly to a person !! City hall is the same way !!!! the way it has been all along and the way it should be !!

  6. The hissy-fit, door slamming gentleman has no body-language awareness; defensive, crossed arms. No doubt he is a fine fellow, when not frustrated with annoying citizens. It seems he does have a learning curve.
