30. @20:30 Why is James so dense? We all know that once an ID cards expiration date is over it does no longer prove it is you! After all, we all know after our IDs expire we often become someone totally different, which is why we need to get a new ID.

    I almost got arrested at a Miami bank before. I had lost my wallet with license, ATM card, the whole 9 yards. I did have an expired drivers license from California and my new school ID (where I worked) yet they refused to cash my paycheck because the current School ID was not an official ID, and my official ID had expired! I could deposit the check onto my account, but I couldn't get any funds without an official ID. Oddly enough LEOs took banks side and kicked me out without any cash.

    Finally, as far as I know USA is the only country that requires ID for everything yet they don't offer any type of ID for free. That in itself should be unconstitutional. The official IDs in USA are usually passport, which you pay to get. Drivers license from the DMV which you pay to get, and if you don't drive you can get a state ID from the DMV which again you have to pay for, and other official ID I can think of is the green card, which I am pretty sure one has to pay for those as well. Mexico offers a voters registration card, which is free with as many replacements as you need/want. They do have an expiration date. Colombia is the only country that I know of that offers official IDs with no expiration date. They do ask you update it if you no longer look like the picture when you were younger.
