When I first noticed the dog, I began the observation, seeing checking on the dog. I called dispatch in case the dog needed to be removed from the vehicle I had my window punch if I noticed the dog becoming distressed. Thankfully the dog did not show signs, but tempratures can rise 30 degrees in a a matter of minutes . According to the caluclator if there for about 10 minutes the temprature would be around 100-105°
The temprature of 86° were reported from nearby weather stations and weather channel app, the tesla vehicle as well, despite the chief denying it was that hot, the dog is safe. The sharp shadows on the ground show the suns intensity on this day.
Please do NOT leave your animals in cars. No time is ever too short. Especially as the chief where people might recognize you and stop and talk extending your time. Set the example.
The total time inside the store was not known. I however did drop off and pick my wife up. I have reached out to tesla for the exact time my car was in the parking lot through telemetry.

Not right to leave the dog in a hot car, however, this dog was not showing any signs of distress. I don't know what the law states in Florida, but there may be a defense, stating the dog was not under duress.
When has it ever just taken "a couple of minutes" to go through the checkout at Target? Add the time to find what he bought, it's a bald faced lie that he was only in the store for a couple of minutes.
