Nisswa Mayor Arrested For Involvement in Traffic Stop Pequot Lakes police said Nisswa Mayor Fred Heidmann approached officers who were conducting a traffic stop of another vehicle Saturday night on Highway 371 between Baxter and Pequot Lakes. Heidmann left but later returned after the traffic stop had ended.

If I was this mayor, and they drove me to the neighboring town's jail, if that mayor didn't have me released immediately, I would then have my police go arrest their mayor and bring him to my town's jail…it would be war. This is going to be an interesting case, please keep us updated if possible.

The mayor conducted himself like an idiot, but Cops routinely set up revenue enhancement traps. What were they doing?

The mayor may be their boss, but he interfered during police Business, and was abusive with his language. He seemed very drunk or high. He went over the line. Im so glad he got arrested, IF he really was the mayor.
