  1. I was arrested for felony domestic violence and the police and prosecutors insisted I crossed the line. I disagreed but that has never mattered much in court. Somehow today it did. I just realized I don’t actually know what felony DV means. Just looked it up but this is my summary from an attorneys website. A felony requires a serious injury. A misdemeanor apparently requires much less. Even a threat of violence or neglect or a belief that you would be hurt can lead to arrest. But obviously my standard of care for people I love should not be set at what the law allows. I typically think of myself as treating others with respect but I stand corrected. I was angry and said things I didn’t mean that I don’t get to take back to a person I care about. I’ve spent a half hour trying to make this comment right but maybe it will come in the form of a video. Usually when I talk about an arrest it’s about what the police did wrong and I’ll get to that later. Just saying that aside, I should have done better myself.

  2. "we have to process him in the system, it takes time"… this is how they further punish people for their contempt of people who hold them accountable… the system isn't designed for justice, its designed for punishment guilt or not… how do you get back 4 days of lost freedom, which for many people usually comes with a lost job now because they couldn't report to work, now that leads to being unable to pay rent, the car, and everything else… cops know an arrest can be punitive enough…
