  1. Hello there 23 year Marine Core veteran and my MOS at retirement was Recon and a person trained with a firearm can also fire at the legs and that would have disabled the 15 year old and he would have definitely dropped the shovel lethal force wasn’t necessary

  2. I was introduced to numerous police agencies starting in the late 1980's. Worked contractually with many. Sadly, the culture has become so toxic, the profession now unmanageable with standards so low as to be no service at all.

Members' conduct has removed much of the confidence and respect citizens once held. This is why members are experiencing pushback.

Your narrative is naive. It promotes
    what happens today in policing.
The excuses you make for the lack of critical thinking and training is crimminal.

In my view, your narrative is naive. Your research is biased, not accurate. The skills members have today are so low as to be no service at all.

It is the lack of critical thinking, common sense, and having the inability to manage the emotional climate at any scene that highlights the grossly negligent conduct.

In the day….this is the question an officer would ask themselves.

"If this was a friend, family member. Child, or someone with an obvious challenge" , how would I approach the situation.

Today, the first thought in a members mind is, am I in danger, if so draw my weapon and remove the threat. Many members never drew their weapons in their careers.

You make more excuses for incompetence than bayer makes pills.

My view is that no one wants any member to suffer harm.

You, sir, are not part of the solution.
