After seeing this man fall back and collapse, I called get medical help. Unfortunately the send police on drug calls
Like this and do what is called aMarchman act.
He was taken into protective custody under marchman act. https://www.tpoftampa.com/understanding-the-marchman-act/

Who needs cops when we have auditors willing to violate your freedom and rights, my brothers keeper, thanks.
What a dickhead
It seems that US cops have a severe handcuffing obsession. What is that? I mean, this guy might have some issues, but a danger to anyone?
Yeah he speed ballin
Good thing you did he was for sure ODing
He's doing the heroin nod
Everyone is cracking jokes, but this guy is on some opioids, possibly heroin. This is no laughing matter.
I've seen that type of physical reaction before with Kroc (aka zombie drug). I hope all the best for that guy… He has a long road ahead of him to rehabilitate off of that stuff. 😔
Clyde and Mason Avenue
-Bath Salts!
Since when do you call for an ambulance and only cops show up. Anyone watch Nightwatch on A&E ? They see tweakers all the time and the cops hardly show when they think its OD. They send out medics. Shame on Daytona. Trying to abuse the 4th ammendment on a tweaker
Unfortunately, it's not only a problem in the States, we have a meth problem here in Melbourne Australia. A nice cop for a change.
I am glad these police officers did the right thing and dealt with compassion not violence.
For sure not meth. He is on a downer…
Shame on you. Mind your own business.
Bystanders please don't insert yourself into the encounter. Just shut up and record.
You can't know if the officer is nice or not. Cos he might be nice to get the guy to incriminate himself. Cops don't come out because they want to help, they come out to find something to arrest for.
Do you think the cop wants to search his bag to help the guy?
From reading the comments I think we should all ask for an ambulance instead of the escalators.in such situations. Any idea what kind of drug it may be?
Wow this is your brain on drugs now I know the situation but my question is what law was broken for the man to be arrested from what I understand it’s not illegal to be on drugs it’s illegal to purchase or possess drugs he really wasn’t bothering anyone at the time of the arrest I do think we have to have a follow up here because I’m pretty sure that sign is pregnant
It's always a risk having to call police to help someone. Tough decision to make bro. Just wish people could handle they're drugs lol
That officer was professional and did the right thing. For anyone wondering, in this instance if he is being detained under medical orders we would 100% inventory his personal belongings but anything narcotic related would just be documented for medical purposes and removed or destroyed. There is no need to charge this man for a drug possession charge when he obviously has a medical drug related disability. I wish most municipalities worked like this.
1:20 Wow!!! A cop that pulls off the road so as to not impede other road users when he doesn't need to. I wouldn't believe it if not caught on video. Looks like you caught one of the good officers.
Called men with guns, huh?
I pray he was taken to hospital for observation and help and not to jail.
i taught crisis intervention for 12 years in Alabama and it changed nothing
Good for James Madison to help this guy. However leave him be, we wasn't hurting anyone let him be cranked out. It was his choice to be on drugs let him do what he wants.
Sad, I often watch a channel called Morals over money, it is about Kensington, Philadelphia the biggest open drug market in America and how bad they all need help with drug addiction. Check it out ,the guy does alot to help those people.
🇱🇷💙🇱🇷
I don't agree with this.
with the police the only answer is lock him up
when i came back from my first war i had sever ulcers and people would just step over me on the sidewalk
i am all in favor of veteran's courts
Caller enjoys immunity should the man die in custody?
Man, whatever that guy is on looks like it'd be tons of fun. What a great investment.
DHS is warning that terrorists may attack as COVID restrictions ease across the US, citing social media platforms and online forums used by perpetrators to spread their violent rhetoric.
Thanks bro, glad you were there, this could have gone the hard way
Hopefully the cops don't charge him for any illegal substances if they end up searching him and his bags
It’s so hard to trust that these gang members will fully conduct themselves in the most honorable and moral fashion from start to finish (they notoriously & consistently do not).
I’m not even sure that restricting this man’s movement, handcuffing him and relocating him (potentially against his will) is even morally the right thing to do.
It seems more like a forcible kidnapping, to me.
Who was he harming?
Why do you think because he exercised his rights he may have drugs that’s thinking like police 👮â€â™€ï¸ when you exercise your rights they assume you have something to hide .
This guy knew his rights throughout all of that. Extra tweaked citizen.
At least he didn't escalate it an tease & arrest him
Just one of many reasons we need police and might add police like this doing good things.
I hope ol mate the cop never violated Meth-Yoga-Man off camera, I would assume not however one should never assume.
Good job there officer
How's the drug war going…is this winning?
