7. No, USPS (post offices) are not private property. The physical post offices are fed. gov. PUBLIC. Most of the operating revenue is generated internally, but the USPS is a public gov. agency. This is not rocket science. The USPS does receive BILLIONS of dollars annually in loans and grants, which is taxpayer funded.
