#NYPD Officers continue to Disregard the Safety of the Minority Community they are paid to protect….The lack of Policing in minority areas such as #Harlem has been a problem as far back as I remember, and also it is a safety concern for themselves as well, being distracted by personal devices has proven to be dangerous, especially for a Police Officer on the Beat..they are open to assault and attack when they have their faces in their personal devices, that’s why the NYPD Patrol Guide (203-6) specifically states for them to not be on their personal devices while on Active Duty unless it’s Departmental related, and as you can see it’s not…..Also you have PSA5 Housing Officers that go into the buildings to read the Newspaper and play with their devices, in which they should be doing Vertical Patrols protecting the Community they serve……….
