Logan Police Run A Sting operation to catch people failing to yield to pedestrians in cross walks. Their officers try to make themselves as un-visable as possible, jump out in front of cars, and then ticket them if they don’t stop fast enough. Cache Valley Transparency, who is highly concerned about officer safety goes out and holds orange flags to bring attention to the officers trying to cross the street to keep them safe, but Chief Gary Jensen is mad that they aren’t able hand out enough tickets when drivers see his undercover pedestrians, so he tells Cache Valley Transparency that if he continues to keep officers safe, he will be arrested.

There’s this new fangled technology that informs the people piloting automobiles that someone else needs to use the road. You see, there’s light similar to a very bright candle. But it changes colors to tell people that it should be safe to move in the direction they are facing. It even works for horse riders, motorcycles, bicyclists, scooters, etc… These guys should look into obtaining some.
So if they fixed the problem instead of just covering it up…..
The problems would be cut in atleast half already…..

Police safety aside, I found the flag system interesting. In my town they have those pedestrian crossings have a pole with a walk button that flashes lights on the crossing sign and along the crossing itself.

I got caught in a police sting where an unmarked car would cause everyone to go slow through a left turn arrow and back up the intersection, then a marked unit would be waiting around the corner and ticket everyone behind the unmarked car that caused all the cars behind it to be in the intersection with the left turn arrow turned red.
