    Wish there was someone doing this in Denver, Colorado. Denver PD seized one of husband's trucks, when his brother was borrowing it. His brother just happened to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time. No one was ever charged with a crime. Yet, my husband never did get his truck back. Not only that, they then sent him a $2,000 bill for "towing and storage!" They are, literally, stealing from law abiding citizens.

Cops can take it for no reason, other than they have the legal right to steal from American citizens. If you are going somewhere to buy a car, don't bring cash. You risk being robbed by the cops.
