4. what the cop did initially by breaking the window with the rocks put the kid in the room in more danger, he gave the heat and smoke a channel to escape. All the heat and smoke was ventilating nicely away from that room. you can see when the real hero broke out the entire window{which he had to} the smoke got worse. You want to ventilate away from any people . I was a firefighter and the police always responded quickly to a fire, most of the time parking in front of a hydrant or in the way of the building, If we needed them for a traffic accident we waited until they felt like coming.

5. Why didn't the officer just put his knee on the neck of the fire and shout stop resisting.

6. This might sound wrong but that guy saved women and children the police saved a few elderly people. I believe many elderly affluent people gave up their seats on the life boats, so that poor women with children could live that fatal night on the Titanic. So which story do you hold in higher regard? The man who saved a young family, or the cops who did the bare minimum to save some elderly? both are heroic stories, but given the timing and press it seems suspicious.
