@Copwatchtv obtained body and security camera footage of a shoplifter who was stealing items from a local Target. The person was identified as Dr. Melissa Ivers, who was employed by the University of New Mexico as a chief medical officer.

She makes over $300,000 a year from UNM and used a scheme to self check out from Target by scanning different items.

  1. She’s probably been a kleptomaniac for a very long time waaaay before she made good money. People get a rush/high from this kind of behavior. This will either make her get the help she needs to change this behavior or she’ll get better at it.

  2. There is absolutely no NEED for anyone who makes $300,000 a year to shoplift … or even shop … at Target. This lady doctor needs psychiatric help (and possibly medication.)

  3. She's a dentist. She's been caught stealing before, $135.00 from her employer, (UNM dental services) about 10 years ago but was never prosecuted, charges were never filed. She was accepted into the pre-prosecution diversion program by the DA, she'll serve no jail time.
Look for the videoâž¡ Albuquerque doctor arrested for shoplifting has been accused of theft before.

  4. IM NOT here to judge but she`s a disgusting selfish human being, people make way less and do not steal. I feel her stealing is done out of malice

  5. Idk why people try to shoplift at Target!! I went through a time from 2007-2013 where I’d walk out of Walmart with furniture, a Dyson vacuum, and carts of groceries not even bagged. Plus I’d even have employees help me load my vehicle because I used a scooter due to my disability!! I never ever even thought about stealing from Target!! They have cameras everywhere, lots of anti theft tags on items, and when the alarms go off when walking out, you’ll get stopped whereas at Walmart everyone either ignores the alarm or you walk out with a group of people!!
