@Copwatchtv obtained body camera footage of an incident where a man led cops to a stolen car chop shop.
On February 20, 2025, Southwest Proactive Response Officers were working proactive patrols in the area of Coors and Iliff when officers were notified of a hit on a License Plate Reader to a stolen vehicle.
As PRT officers attempted to engage the vehicle, the driver fled. However, officers were able to successfully deploy a StarChase dart onto the car. StarChase is essentially a GPS tracking device.
The driver, later identified as Christopher Apodaca, 46, was driving erratically and into oncoming traffic to try and evade officers. Utilizing the StarChase GPS tracking device, the vehicle was located at 1707 Atrisco SW. PRT officers spotted the stolen vehicle behind a gate as Apodaca was walking away from it.
Officers located Apodaca and took him into custody. While at the listed address, the officers noticed several dismantled vehicles on the property and competed a search warrant for the property.
Five stolen vehicles were recovered and through the investigation, the location is suspected to be a chop shop for stolen vehicles. On February 20, 2025, Southwest Proactive Response Officers were working proactive patrols in the area of Coors and Iliff when officers were notified of a hit on a License Plate Reader to a stolen vehicle.

APD still not performing proper pat downs before placing in backseat. “You have a phone on you”.

A thief and a snitch. I wonder how he'll do in jail.
