U.S. Constitution NOT void where prohibited by law !!

We believe that many of our rights and civil liberties as American citizens on American soil are at great risk and that a simple act of civil disobedience has the power to effect great change. While we have no interest or intention in breaking any law, we are willing to stand up for freedom and the constitution at any time and at any place and do so in a responsible and productive manner. It is our goal to create free and open discussion whenever possible in an effort to educate both ourselves and anyone with a desire to learn. A well known rule of government is that ignorance is no excuse for the law. It is our stand that we as Americans have been either uninformed or misinformed regarding our laws and rights for far too long. We are not attorneys or scholars, however we have been involved in professional photography for over 30 years and have had our rights and freedoms challenged more times than we can remember. No one group or person has the ability to effect change across the board, however we are committed to doing our part by continuing to stand up for our constitutional right to free press and the right to take photographs and video in public. All donations will be used exclusively to further this cause. We want to thank you in advance for your support of what we do and want you to know that we are committed to working harder than ever to defend our rights, your rights and the Freedom to Film in Public!!

  1. If I were not familiar with auditing and auditors I would certainly react with a lot of aggression toward someone filming in public, especially if they did not abide my request to stop filming. I would see it as very discourteous to film someone against their will. Especially women and children.

Being familiar with the auditing goals I understand both sides of it and honestly am still uncomfortable watching auditors film people against their will. I think it is a violation of their persons, violating their fourth amendment. I know that the law says "no expectation of privacy" but there is also no reasonable expectation of being on a stage of millions.

Stage fright is a very very common aspect of human experience. Being recorded makes people feel very vulnerable and violated and honestly, this is not without justification. Perhaps in the absence of common courtesy we need yet more laws to teach us civility? Sorry. This is what keeps me divided on the whole exercise of auditing. I think auditors provide a very valuable service when they expose unprofessional conduct by our law enforcement.

I think there are good and bad ways to achieve that goal. Post office audits are far better than private property audits but.. they still involve a lot of the public. I think police station audits and sheriff department audits are the way to audit the police. I think the public should be left alone.

The other argument is we are so accustomed to being filmed by thousands of security cameras, why is that so different? I guess when a citizen films there is no accountability implied by the filming whereas with a security camera people generally believe they can be held to account if they misuse the recorded information. An unknown citizen can record people, nobody knows if they are being dingled out under the disguised behavior of recording everyone. Singled out for what? Child abduction for instance. Or maybe for private investigation services. Or maybe to mock people for the way they look online. Or maybe for this.. or maybe for that.. people's imaginations run wild with what if's when a citizen can film them against their will and not have to say why.

I don't think the hostility and the discomfort and the fear are unfounded. I think our fourth amendment and the principles behind it should not have to be spelled out in every detail and in every circumstance. Courtesy not laws should be our guide.

Courtesy and love are a law unto themselves, requiring no codified statute by a conscientious society. If a people need a law to tell us how to treat each other in every respect, that people are surely lost.

    ..

  2. The fact that you are so polite and cordial with everyone and what you get mostly is completelly moron actitude is pissing me off really hard…

  3. People get "sketchy" because it's odd to record people doing their day to day job. 🙄 We live in a country where showing up for work means you may not make it home to your family at the end of the day because a coworker or someone else that's mentally unstable may bomb or shoot up the place. Not everything is a conspiracy folks. It may just be honest to goodness fight or flight reflex kicked in because we live in a failing country that's the laughing stock of the world.

  4. I'm understanding more and more watching your videos, the purpose of your work. At first I thought it was cop baiting. I see now that it's to protect our rights! Keep up the work!

  5. If these people at this post office are an example of this city I would never want to live there. Some of the rudest people I've seen in your videos. But no police were called so they knew you were legal I take it?

  6. OMG where do these idiots come from you can't take pictures on federal property who owns the Federal property the city okay and who is the city We the People it's so basic that these people act like they're really uneducated hey no college here and even I understand the basics come on folks this is not rocket science 🤦🏻‍♂️

  7. I’ve probably watched every video for the past three of four months and man this one really upset me. For some reason, no one wants to listen to reason anymore. Jason was legitimately explaining every single thing that he was doing this time and being absolutely polite and explaining everything that he did and man, I just don’t get it.

  8. Sean. I'm the Dockers pants guy here. Also called OIC.

It's important that I, Sean, act like a third grader who shat himself in this situation.

  9. that was an interesting group of people, lots of social skills.
this is what you get when your sister becomes your wife and you decide to breed.

  10. look up the Patriot Act and the Protect America act where they released all cell phone companies of liability as they giva all our info to these scumbags in govt — lawyers and politicians are pretty much the scum of the earth

  11. I was just wondering how do you actually make a living, is it from donations or are you on disability? Just curious how one drives all over the country like you do. That can't be cheap to do.

  12. Wow! all of these employees were super tense and bitter for no reason! I could totally feel the negative energy!

  13. odd vibes on this Jason. Of course i agree this people are ignorant to the cameras but the vibe for some reason just seemed off on this one

  14. It’s super rude cause people think because they have just a little authority you are required to answer their questions…..
