20 Years In Solitary Confinement: Innocent On Death Row | Witness | US Crime & Prison HD Documentary – Everything Law and Order Blog

In 2014, filmmaker Jessica Villerius met death row inmate, Clinton Young, who had been convicted of a double homicide and became convinced of his innocence. Her documentary ‘Innocent on Death Row’ exposed the weakness of the whole case, proving the shootings could not possibly have taken place the way the prosecutor alleged. These and other new facts, including serious misconduct by the prosecution, led to Young’s execution being halted just 8 days before it was due to take place. He is granted a new trial and freed on given bail to await his new trial.

Clinton was 19 when he was imprisoned. He is now 38. After almost 20 years of solitary confinement, how do you adapt to life outside? In addition, the strict conditions of his bail prevent him from living in the same state as his family and even going to the supermarket across the road from his house. He’s terrified of making the slightest mistake and being sent back to prison. He’s free but not free.

This documentary was produced by Posh Productions and directed by Jessica Villerius. It was first released in 2022.

  1. I'm so glad there was help for this young man. There is so many innocent people in prison that their voices need to be heard. I wish him the best of luck.

  2. the story started crumbing when Page open his mouth 😮… i can’t ignore the smile on his face it’s almost like he is saying “catch me if you can “

i used to be a first believer of death row but after this story i realised that innocent people can be convicted to death and that can’t be reversed 😢

  3. It's hard to believe we have some much corrupt and heartless people in the justice system. I have had my dealings with being treated poorly by police. Falsely accused. It's easy to get into trouble but so hard to prove your innocence

  4. Funny how they leave out the events of that night… why was he there with this page guy.
They were up to know good
That don't mean he knew page was gonna kill them people.
They must have planned to rob them and he was there for that.

  5. You know after watching that video documentary you guys have (documentary on japans prison) makes me so grateful to live in the USA. We don’t always get it right, but at least you’re not made to confess or else. At least here we are entitled to an attorney

  6. So a pos lawyer said he is innocent…😆…I'd say the scumbag lawyer may have a ulterior motive 😂…just a guess mind you🤣
