When Europe faces the refugee crisis, Salam Aldeen, a young Dane with personal refugee experience, ventures to Greece as a volunteer. Inspired by his own journey fleeing civil war in Moldova, Salam dedicates himself to rescuing refugees in the Aegean Sea.

However, his mission takes a drastic turn when he’s arrested and accused of human smuggling while searching for a lost refugee family.

Facing the possibility of a life sentence in a Greek prison, Salam’s case becomes a pivotal moment for the future of humanity in Europe, challenging democratic values in the birthplace of democracy.

  1. Salam aleikum for Salam, In my opinion, the reason they are accusing you is very stupid, It makes no sense except that you saved human lives on the home of the Greek coast.. If you were doing some kind of trafficking, they should have caught you in the open sea far from Greece coast, in that case, your case would be problematic… But they only saw you near the Greek coast, which cannot be proven even as a potential possibility that you are doing some kind of transfer of refugees to Greek territory. It makes no sense, there is no logic, to accuse you when you were already in the zone that, according to the rule and the law of European laws on humanitarian rules, Greece had to accept you because you were close to the Greek coast. It's unbelievable how these people have nothing to do with reality, and their names are like some policemen, maybe they have people who graduated from the faculties of criminal sciences. The only thing that comes to my mind is that it is their fault that you saved those people, and that those people did not drown in the sea… They are at fault that those people may also be of a different religion, skin color, or they have some irrelevant reasons for accusing you of something. which doesn't make any sense.. I hope that truth and justice will still win in your case.. God is on the side of the righteous, dedicate yourself to your prayers and ask God to help you because He is the only one who can do everything! Support for Selam! <3

  2. My heart hurts while watching this. Seeing the photo of the little boy face down in the water while my child sleeps safely in the same position as the boy is more than i can process. Every single person who talks about illegals should have to see that picture. Does anyone think a parent would flee with their children for no, or a minor reason? They risk everything because they have nothing. ❤

  3. Oh my goud how could they have done such to a good man like that fear the world we live in may God bring you comfort happiness and more blessings!!!
