2. This is about butts in seats, and offerings in the plate. All organized religion is about money and control. Your relationship with Jesus is your own, and should be private. I'm paraphrasing, but it's New Testament. Jesus never called on people to build buildings and gather for worship. Believers are supposed to be going to those who need the word, not making them come to you. Someone figured out that they could cash in on faith, and now there are thousands of churches where someone tells you what the Bible means and cherry picks the stuff that best works best for keeping their congregation enthralled and generous. Faith is free, church is not.

3. That dude is ignorant, I live in western Michigan, and an unbelievable amount of people here are selfish and ignorant about mask wearing. Masks are there to help protect others in case you are a carrier of covid. I work in a factory that is owned by just such a person. He actually compared covid to a cold. We are finally mandated at work to wear masks in the last 2 months. I have been wearing them at work for the last 6 months, but only a few of us seem to get the seriousness of the issue. Why wouldn't you do such a small thing to potentially keep someone from sickness and possibly death? The internet is a double edged sword, for every bit of real and useful information, there is some bullshit ignorant information. Intelligence helps tell the difference, but even an idiot can operate a web browser and fill their head with stupid.

Destroying is a VERY harsh and overly dramatic word in regards to these mandates. And don't say it's DESTROYED businesses and people's livelihood because that's overly dramatic as well. Wearing a mask has NOT destroyed businesses. Social distancing has NOT destroyed livelihoods. Staying home and stores closing early are results of people NOT taking the virus seriously in the beginning by wearing masks or implementing social distancing, and it started in the WH.
