The United States is such an incredibly sad place, and the insane length of the time of incarceration is a tragic and major reason why. Imagine being put behind bars for life for an accidental kidnapping. I’m not saying the crime wasn’t terrible but surely the man could have learned that lesson in 5 yrs. And the poor man who committed the unspeakable crime of murder…at 13!! A child. Maybe help would have a gone a very long way.
