I just went court with my friend last week. This judge was forced on inmates and other people came to court. He was looking on no cell phone.
The Judge is "struggling to overcome it." Really!? Give the robe to someone that isn't addicted to social media.
Why is everyone shocked? The lack of empathy is not new – only using the phone is the new part. For decades judges have dismissed child abusers and child molesters as not important . They saved their energy for drug offenders and the War on Drugs. Also most judges decide your sentence before they even hear the case. So this judge was about business as usual , y’all are just disturbed by the phone part.
