Every year more than 30,000 people are kidnapped around the world. Hostage-taking has become big business, with its own rules and key players. In response, insurance firms have developed specialised ’Kidnap and Ransom’ (K&R) policies for wealthy individuals and multinational corporations – the prime targets of hostage-takers.
This film examines the murky world of international kidnapping and K&R policies with exclusive access to one of the leading kidnap insurances and the top hostage negotiators he works with. We follow the case of Kenny Cisneros, the third member of his family to be kidnapped in less than a year, from beginning to end and hear from former hostages and key players in the industry.

I'm Canadian, and I will not set foot in the US. The last time I was there was 45 years ago, at age 18. I haven't been back since, and I will never go.
That hell hole is full of crazies! Everywhere you turn there are right wing lunatics, gun nuts, and murders for reasons that are minor, because of the ease of getting guns! There are nearly 2 mass shootings every week, done completely randomly. I don't call that safe! That country overflowing with Trumpist MAGAts who are full of anger is not a bit safe.
And in addition, the general atmosphere is one of shallowness and greed. It is not a friendly hospitable place.
