22. STOP…… this is not an abuse of power… this is not a racial issue… Believe what you want, but the girl can easily be viewed as being non complainant and combative. Not only did she not comply with the officer's command, but she also didn't listen to the instruct from the teacher who was clearly telling her "Not to fight". Moreover, in this instance, her "age" is not important, as that "little' girl" was that officer's height and size, and she was able to overpower him and resist being taken into custody . Whether you believe the order is lawful or not, simply comply and "voice your opinion" and let the lawyers litigate and fight on your behave if you feel an injustice has been done. The time to litigate and fight IS NOT WHEN THE OFFICER IS TRYING TO MAKE AN ARREST. That is the absolute wrong time. Too many times, I've seen videos where people who are being taken into custody by the police, fight and resist officers… believing that they are in the right, and that an officer "cannot touch them" -100% Wrong. The law actually gives police officers the power to "Touch" another person in order to take them into custody. And the law tells them when the cant use a particular type of force… the courts/law prescribe that power… not the individual in the street who is being arrested and is somewhat unaware of the laws of force. Honestly, we need to educate our children to better navigate these events to mitigate and avoid them… Not advocate dads and uncles going to the school to assault anyone, SMH. Learn to navigate better.. do not physically resist. Comply, and complain later.. If the arrest is unlawful, it will be dealt with in a court of law, and not the court of public opinion.. and I'm certain you will see less and less of our brother and sisters (white, black, or brown) in these situations.
