The CECOT: Inside the Fortress Holding El Salvador’s Most Violent Gangsters | Witness | Documentary – Everything Law and Order Blog

President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador has declared war against the local Mara gangs, which have long plagued the small Central American nation. In response, the government has developed CECOT, one of the largest mega-prisons in the world. This facility holds 12,000 members of the most violent Salvadoran Maras in this highly controlled environment. Our crew delves into the lives of those incarcerated within CECOT, exploring and interviewing them to provide a unique perspective on this unprecedented crackdown.

  1. Sending respect to those officers who protect their country from this filth . I have huge respect for mr. Bukele and his team .
    From asia

  2. The sad thing is that most of them that they was born into that lifestyle and most likely they didnt see any way out, but join a gang etc… most of them deserves to be there but the previous corrupt government officials are well deserves to be there with this criminals…

  3. And people complain about 1st world problems ive done years of prison and this is up there with the worst. Just going for a walk being free is great. Hectic life …….. I would hate to end up in those wings

con Que Trankilidad Dicen El No Miramos Nada Mal El Penal De El Cecot, Y Hay Personas Que Dicen En El Los comentarios Que Paguen Que no Salgan Que no Se Que, Y Los Majes Bien Trankilos En El penal 🫡👹

  5. LOVE LIGHT PEACE HEALING TRUTH JUSTICE BLESSINGS AND ABUNDANCE TO ALL IN THE NAME OF THE MOST HIGH CREATOR 🙏🏾💜♾️⚖️🕊️🔥THEY ARE ALL SOMEBODY'S BABIES AND LOVED ONES NO MATTER WHAT THEY HAVE DONE MAY THE ALMIGHTY HEAL THEIR HEARTS AND SOULS💜🙏🏾♾️

  6. Send American prisoners here for a week and it would make them appreciate how good they have it. I saw a guy whining in front of an American judge that he didn't get enough dental work done and didnt have internet access and was suing the prison.

  7. Prisoner do have human rights.. new gang members are not going to get tattoos.. I don't believe everything that president is doing is right.

  8. This documentary is such bull crap. How do you translate "vamonos" into " no no interviews we're going" I can't stand manipulating, lying media with a passion. Bukele could've found a cure for cancer and bull crap media would still find something wrong with it.

  9. "5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14

"32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 8

repent my brothers and sisters, only JESUS CHRIST saves.

  10. I believe the inmate when he stated that some are innocent and are waiting to get their sentence. There are a lot of innocent people that are sent prison like here in the USA

  11. I wouldn't trust any of those prisoners. What happens if and when he gets paroled? Will he go back to his old ways? Will he seek retribution for getting locked up?

  12. Say and think what you want, but this country is doing absolutely everything it can to protect its people, to crack down on crime and ultimately to protect their entire country. There are evil men and this world and sometimes you must fight evil with evil.

  13. Hasta el resto de asesinos en esa celda se mueren de la risa al ver y oír con que desfachatez miente el asesino que dice que están allí presos pero que son inocentes.

  14. Ok… Whatever your feelings about the prison… If there is no transparency or ability for prisoners to say what they wish about the conditions (without fear of reprisal) then do NOT pretend otherwise. Do not go through the farce of an "interview" where the prisoner spouts lines that sound like he is reading from a script the warden wrote.

That brings up the key point .. I am completely unnerved by how well-behaved those gangbangers are… Like more obedient and eager to please than wardens can achieve in prisons where guards will admit people are tortured on a regular basis.

They are acting super content with crazy overcrowding, steel bins for beds and no distractions whatsoever. Anyone who knows jack squat about how compliant hardened criminals are with authority has to be wondering what on earh they are doing to them to keep them compliant.

If you choose to make compromises on human rights then look them in the eye and admit what those compromises are. If something unspeakably awful is happening back there which the people of El Salvador would not condone… then it will nonetheless be their responsibility for being complicit by not asking questions.

  15. These men may have committed heinous crimes. I guarantee there are some innocent men in there. That place is hell on earth. That is no joke. They are treated like animals. Worse than animals.
