The History Of The Car Bomb: The Weapon Of The 21st Century | Witness | Terrorism Documentary – Everything Law and Order Blog

Forget about nuclear missiles. The decisive weapon of the twenty-first century is the car bomb.

After Iraq we now know that you can defeat a superpower, start a civil war or just blow up your own government with a trunk load of home-made explosives and a battered old car.

In this startling new 2 x 1 hour mini series, ex-CIA agent Bob Baer, whose life was depicted by George Clooney in the Oscar winning movie ’Syriana’, uncovers the history of this extraordinary weapon.

With shocking footage of car bomb attacks and penetrating interviews with car bombers, Baer reveals how the century of the car turned into the century of the car bomb.

This documentary was produced by Many Rivers Films and directed by Kevin Toolis. It was first released in 2008.

  1. The sound is awful. You've got the background music and ambient noise louder than the voices and where there is a translator, the original language speaker is louder than the translator so you can't understand what they're saying. Amateur work, guys. You can do better.
