  1. This is partially the fault of the Boer people. This documentary shows how terre blanche was an incompetent leader and because his right hand man hated him, and rightfully so, nick was able to make this documentary which showed how the AWP was comprised of a bunch of idiots who were not disciplined in the least bit and had become decadent. This was a far cry from the boers who fought against 20,000 of the zulu nation in the battle of blood river, they killed thousands of zulu warriors and the boer militia only suffered three wounded soldiers. Zero casualties.

  2. I remember that Terre Blanche and his party were taken seriously by the Western media until Nick Broomfield with this one documentary made a complete laughing stock of him overnight.

  3. In the 1980s minority white groups were revered by the western media and any attempt to deprive them of power was interpreted as an attack on civilisation. Nick Broomfield changed all that.

  4. I could never get my head round this 'Ideology of White Supremacy'.
Abusing and distorting Christianity, to create and oppose the most fundamental principle of
the religion, which is 'Love'. Also, to 'Do unto others, as you'll have others do to you'. This is not
'Christianity' that we see here – this is pure 'SATANISM'!!!! 😟😈😈😈😈

  5. I am here in 2024. I actually saw the 2nd doc before this 1st doc. It is really SAD. All I can sense is this deep-seated fear of both change and the unknown. I just read this quote: bad things happen when good people say nothing. A country that needs a lot of healing and hope for the future generation to learn from the past.

  6. 34:19 this number plate is same as British number plates(pre-2000 format and pre-1983 reg year lettering). as M being random letter BT being the area code for Leeds and Yorkshire the three (random)letters(in UK can be also two or one digit) and T indicating that the vehicle is registered in 1978.

  7. Whilst I don't condone violence and vengeful behaviour, I think Terre Blanche got his just desserts . I have long been fascinated by the situation/apartheid in SA. I grew up in New Zealand, to a brown skinned Pacific Island father and a white mother. In 1976 our National Rugby team toured South Africa, in as a result several Africa nations boycotted the 1976 Olympics. The Gleneagles agreement hadn't come into effect. This was an agreement by nations to sever sporting ties with South Africa, yet our country continued to play South Africa in defiance of the agreement. This truly divided our country. I can understand, in part why Terre Blanche and many conservative Afrikaners held the views they did. The ethnic situation in South Africa is far more complex than this simple Kiwi guy understands. What is also interesting is that a number of Kiwi soldiers fought in the Boer war, and it seems they really had no idea why they were fighting, other than to uphold British interests and access to Africa's numerous natural resources. What is interesting is that a long held belief of the Afrikaner , that they are Gods chosen ones, after all they were the descendants of expelled Protestants from France and Holland, then the British came along and in all their arrogance said, "We are God's chosen ones. The Brits are far from blameless in the ethnic unrest in South Africa.

  8. The rapport that Nick Broomfiled builds with JP is unbelievable. To the point where he can demand that JP be honest with them and JP completely opens up with them. Outstanding journalism.

  9. Well, these guys were right to a point. The Blacks cant run the country. South Africa is a country that has no future. The ANC is a corrupt organisation, that has been steeling money from their own people, and the locals are blaming everyone else for the situation.

  10. south africa was abutifull country when the afrikaner ruled the country you could sleep peacefully you could walk the streets at night without fear the rand was strong but see what has happened to the country now crime crime and more crime everybody who can leave the country are leaving because of the crime you're not safe in you own home cant walk in the street even in day time your car is not safe even you could be driving down the street in the day time and still be killed women are being raped every 30 seconds not only women babys as well the horror storeys that are not told about the way life is now in south africa will make your hair fall out and they blame everything on apartheid we had apartheid because they knew what was going to happen im not racist i owned a malti race bar and the guys and women where great we had no problems we even had afrikaners drinking there with the Africans all where friendly but the big problem is the the country is run by thieves who as soon as they got into power they stole everything so the people said ya they can do it so can we

  11. Exact type of ppl who call themselves a Christian or quote the Bible yet they have no clue who Christ(God in human form) is or what he taught. Christ spoke of their kind in Matthew 15:8-9
    ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭15:8‭-‬9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

[8] ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. [9] Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.’

  12. Nick is a good presenter his documentary regarding Aileen Wournos was fascinating. The marching uniforms and rhetoric reminds me of the 1930s national socialist movement maybe I’m wrong. There is no simple answer to divisions within human societies I don’t know the answer there are divisions and divides in every culture.Just a thought Jesus was neither black or white but of Middle Eastern appearance.

  13. The mayor's English was so bad. Neither he nor his friend have even the slightest concept of the fact that idioms don't necessarily translate to other languages, so they just translate "sitting bad" literally from Afrikaans to English. There is no English idiom, "to sit bad". But their stupidity continues when they are asked to explain the joke and they just repeat it. This goes beyond a language barrier. It shows how a fundamental lack of sympathy for other human beings (whether in terms of race or language) just makes you stupid.

  14. This and its sequel are prime examples of how religion, in this case Calvinism and its "chosen people" narrative has led to so much hatred. JP and his wife seem like such good, kind, amiable people, but Anita is out sterilizing women? JP participating in bombing campaigns? Then going to church? The contrasts of South Africa are so vast and that's what makes it such a fascinating country and its history so sad. I have met many South Africans (outside of SA, let it be said) in my life and almost every one I know is kind, sensible, generous, funny, warm, curious, open-hearted, the kind of person that makes you instantly feel welcome and at ease. The country itself is beautiful and blessed with so much abundance. And yet the history of SA is utterly brutal, sad, violent, terrible…I have never been there, but having known many South Africans and heard them speak with such passion and longing for their country and such sorrow for the state of it, I can't help but share their sadness and regret that I will probably not be able to travel there for a long, long time. It's easy to condemn the AWB and apartheid, but the straight up mafia mentality of the ANC and how they continue to loot the country is just a crying shame. Here's hoping for a better future.
