LOL 13 minutes to diagnose a pump.
If you disconnect the fuel line, and fuel doesn't come squirting out of it, it's the pump.
Jesus Christ dude.
Project what?
Can you fix a A Honda Accord.
From the nineteen seventies
Bro you’re my fav. Cheers from India.
You're tutorials are the best for dummies!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!
Thanks Chris for your excellent video on replacing the fuel pump.
2:54 junk in the trunk😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What tool did you use to remove the fuel line from the gas tank?
remember watching this on my moms phone years ago. now here i am on my on device and understanding everything you’re saying. you’re really a prodigy.
Thank you bro. Been watching your vids lately and I've been learning a lot.
Im about to replace my fuel pump as well, but ended up learning more than I thought and i feel more confident!

“Project crowd control” 😂
👋
Where you located at, have an 86 GT that won't start, I believe its the fuel pump. Put fresh gas and charged the battery, it won't turn over. Would be great to have you work on it.
having this exact problem but having a hard time trying to find the fuel relay on my 96 GT
Thanks bro
Is it normal for the hum to never go out unless trying to start the engine
What do you think about a fuel pump that activates but the pressure is only 10 PSI. I did a flex fuel upgrade (eflexfuel kit) on my 02 GT so I'm thinking that my fuel pump can't handle the ethanol content. It was at 61% ethanol when the pressure dropped. The car did have 40 PSI after the flex fuel mod but a few days later it dropped to 10 PSI. By the way, I already replaced the fuel filter yesterday and it did not help. UPDATE: I found my OEM housing, cleaned it up and installed the new fuel pump in it. Running on 61% ethanol for a few days but when I refueled this morning the gas gauge quit working. I had a broken wire on the float and thought I did a good job soldering it back on but I guess I am wrong. Going to have to drop the tank again and hope I don't mess anything else up (especially the filler tube grommet). I hope I can drop the tank like you did and can remount more easily this time (took 4 hours to get the tank back on a few days ago). I wonder how you managed to drop the tank like that without destroying the fuel neck grommet on the tank or the fuel filler itself.
Maybe 50% of the time when a fuel pump start going bad, giving the fuel tank a couple good whacks will make it work (for a little bit).
I have ford escord gt coupe 1994 i dont know how to so it on this car

5:49 replacing the fuel pump
Word of advice: some 4th gen mustangs have no EVAP sensor. If you're replacing the whole assembly, make sure you know which one to get. My friend got the wrong one and we had to re-pin the plug on the pump harness to make it work.
thanks for explaining I have a Suburban 2012 it shut down in the road when I made OBD test it gave multiple codes one of them U0073 data bus comunication , P069E fuel pump module control – Mil activation requested , P2635 fuel pump low performance , P0108B fuel pressure sensor B and of course the delay start engine my question where is the fuel valve regulator in Suburban 2012 shuold I replace it , is the fuel pump is broken and need to be replaced or updating online Or I have to fix the bus comunication Bus before to solve the problem thanks in advance .
The dad of cars in YouTube 🔥
Great video. Lets get more Mustang content!
I don’t know if anyone else noticed this but I love how when you take out the old pump it has the new fuel pump in lol guess someone forgot to record jk I’m using this video to replace the pump in a 2002 mustang that will hopefully be my first car
Chris, ive watched you all my life, and i have finally gotten my own 3v 4.6 mustang and i just wanna say thank you so much for posting all this because im having major misfire issues and its come down to the cats, the fuel filter and or fuel pump and you just so happened to diagnose this😭🙏🏿
This man makes me feel like I can fix anything 😂
Bro I watched this video half way threw the job of replacing the pump and I never knew about the inertia switch mine was unclicked 😭
7:10 cries in michigan
You should use a 2×4 wood in between the jack and the tank so tank isn't damaged in the processof lifting the tank
Recently bought a 1998 Mitsubishi lancer (aus) no hum from the fuel pump, I'm buying a multimeter tomorrow but my owners manual says nothing about fuel pump relay, none of the relays are labelled
Nicee
Wow ! Now it works without fuel
Nice video as always. I did this several times for my old car. One aditional check that I also did was to test for a second the old and new pump directly on the car battery using wires. This way you know for sure if the old pump is bad or it is something in the assembly (like pump plug might go bad) and that the new pump is also working before installing it. You can also use multimeter to test the pump itself.
My 2002 Sierra will crank hard some mornings. usually takes 2 or 3 cranks to start and idles rough at first. I'm think it's the fuel pump but not sure
Hi 👋 just wondering 😅 we can get a hold on the new address and we will send it back in a little while we can do that tomorrow and I can get a yyy for you and then I’ll I will send it back in a few days to see what it looks and then I can get the money from yyou to you guys if I have to pay it back on my own or something like it or something I need it for the first week and I can do that with my new house for a couple of days I need a lot more stuff for the house I have a few other items that need help with that stuff and then I’ll let you know when I’m going back home to the gym but I’m going back to the gym and I need a little more money for the next few weeks and then I’ll let you know when I’m going back home to go home so I’ll be home by the end of the week if I need anything let me know and I will call back and get it to me when I can thank you for all the love and care of me love love and miss all of your life thank love love and miss all of your your family love love miss love you this whole thing I have been thinking about you all the way back in my house and my love I hope you have an awesome year I hope you have fun and you are so proud of you
An important Word Of Warning though;
NEVER attempt to repair a metal gas tank by welding under any circumstances.
This is an extremely dangerous procedure and should be left to a specialist.
And whatever you do, no smoking or naked flames either.
Love ur energy. It gives me and my shitbox hope 🙏
Did you notice that the pump was unplugged when he did the pressure test
Mine starts and works for a few minutes and shuts off after that no hum sound after that
Can taking a reading across the circuit be wonky and still work?
I’m not able to get much more than trace voltage, like .1, but I also have cause to doubt the reading. I can still get a hard start going after some effort. If it was an electrical issue, wouldn’t it be impossible to start the vehicle at all?
