Hey when you clean the scratch does it have to be w water and soap? Or can I just do water?
You just solved a mystery for me. You actually explained what's going on! Thank you for the video!!
What a great video, A pleasure to listen and watch. I have a few scratches that I thought was all the way thru. Tomorrow I'm going to check to see if they go away when wet. I'm excited to make them go away
Great video! Thank you
Great job! Hey Chris , soapy water should be car wash soap only?
Chris you're the BEST !
I followed every single step and got the exact same Materials , and they just don't come out 😫
It looks exactly like the video and someone keyed me someone help me 😭
🤔🤔A COUPLE OF BUCKS?are you sure??🤑🤑🤑
When is it advisable to use rubbing compund to remove the fine sanding scratches before polish is added?
does these technique also work for motorcycle?? is there a difference??
I don't make a habit of listening to young people….but you ARE good. 👍
Why do you need soapy water. What’s the difference in using no water ?
Do you have to keep polishing and waxing to keep it from the haze coming back, like after a car wash?
Why not reapplying clear coat?
THANK YOU!!
I tried this with 80 grit and it turned out like cat piss
Chris is so amazingly detailed in his videos, he has literally saved me thousands over the years Thank you!
Wow!! Thank you. A car wash scratched my car hood and I was panicking. I am going to try this. Nervous but the comments are giving me hope. ❤
Life saver! Got a scratch on my 2024 Tesla after a cleaning. Came right out! Thanks!
I tried toothpaste and vingegar they did not work😞
What if my car has very fine scratches like swirls? Could you please tell me what steps to take? I previously bought a scratch remover at autozone but when I wash it they are visible again. Also how is the clear coat replenished after sanding? I appreciate if you can help me out, I know I asked a lot
We're starting to see scratches at level 6, with deeper groves at level 7.

crazy and awesome you’re still responding to comments on this video! going to try this later today
I got swirl marks all down my passenger side. Would just the polish work or does the whole side need to be sanded and redone?
3:38 ! Damn who does that 😰😭
Can we apply clear coat after sanding?
Wow
Worked perfectly!! Thank you!
Great video. Same thing with a metallic paint?
Hi Chris,

My new (to me) Jeep just got scratched by some a55#0!3 last night. I was so pissed off, but now with this video Im glad theres a cheaper solution. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Does that sanded spot come back after the wax has worn off?
After getting t-boned and totaling my car, I thought for sure I was going to have to buy a new one. But after watching this video and buying the supplies at Walmart, in about 2 hours my car is good as new! It took a little more pressure to get out the bent frame, but with a little elbow grease she straightened right up. Thanks, ChrisFix!
Excellent. Very helpful. Thank you.
For hairline scratches, there is no need for a sandpaper. Just a scratch remover will work. Have done this many times with success.
Hey Chris, on the extra light but still noticable scratches, would 3M rubbing compound work in place of the sanding, followed up of course by the paste wax?
Your thoughts? Thanks?
