  1. One trick for the keys is to rub a pencil against them
I learned that from a locksmith and it works like a charm as a dry lubricant, if only for a while

  2. Thanks this video was super helpful, buying a 07 power stroke that’s been sitting for years but in good condition just a bit scared to start it

  3. Thank you this will be so helpful. Long story sort my car has been sitting for close to 9months and now I am ready to begin bringing her back to life. This should definitely be helpful to know cause any extra unnecessary damage to the engine!

  4. hi chris i wanted to know how to fix a car when i drive it to my home all the way to the store the car slips example when your driving 20 miles and when we turn a left signal the car turns when its forward

  5. I’m about to restart my engine and never hear of this fogging spray… maybe stop me from unbolting my exhaust and put enough oil in the cylinder.
I don’t want oil to accumulate in the exhaust and build up heat.
    Never heard of fogging spray.

  6. If your going to have a car setting make shure you put in some gas stabliser because gas will go bad setting in 4 or more months always keep a half a tank of gas so you dont get water in you gas fron condensation haveing always a half a tank or more keeps water from foreming in you gas 🧝💃🌟

  7. ill try to start my dads cd5 accord this weekend. it has been sitting for 15 years.hopefully it goes well. i cant wait to drive that single cam 2.2L on the roads hahaha.

  8. Chris' favorite phrase, "let's do this but before we do this", i love it ! Chris is quite a teacher, love his videos! Israel Perez viewing from Guatemala, C.A.

  9. Old videos have life and info! I'm getting ready to trade an old 2010 Chevy HHR for some concrete work. The problem is the alarm killed the battery and it hasn't been started in 3 yrs. This video told me EVERYTHING else I needed to know about starting a sitting car. Thank you!

  10. I was very surprised that "a long time" is 4-6 months. In Wisconsin our summer toys are parked easily that long every year. Our cutlass sat unstarted and unmoved for over 20 years. A little pre start love
and it fired up and still being driven over 3 years later.

  11. If I have a half (or less than half) tank of gas. Instead of draining it out. Could I just pour a couple gallons of laquer thinner in there ?
