  1. I got a friend of mine that just got a 05 Prius and needs battery replacement soo this video will help I do all my maintenance work on my car but never a hybrid soo thanks for your videos Chris fix

  2. I would be wary of ANY "guarantee" until I read the fine print. More than likely, it's a "pro-rated guaranteed, dropping in covered cost by 33% each year. You see the same sort of thing with a standard 12V battery that loudly exclaims it has a 4- or 5-year warranty. When it fails after a couple of years, then you find they'll give you $10 off of a new $200 battery. Whoppee. So read the warranty before you buy!

  3. Chris, you do some great videos but 1. The Prius is not the most hated car on the internet and 2. The MODULES are NOT called cells. There are 6 cells to a module and 2 modules make a block. 14 blocks in the HV pack.

  4. Epic video! If it hasn't already been said, this is like watching a Blue Man do the repair. Next time you make a video, put in some Blue Man Group music on parts that aren't so important. I just loved watching the video & thinking hiw funny it would be if you'd gotten some wooden/plastic paddles & made some drumming noises on different parts of the car.

I also just watched your video about replacing 3rd gen batteries from start to finish (I just bought a 2013 Prius so I may need it in the future!) & I just HAD to comment.

Take care & thanks for the quality of these videos. You deserve ebery subscriber you have and more! 🤘🤘🤘

  5. Hey ChrisFix, I got the batteries reinstalled but the triangle of death and the red car with exclamation point still shows up. All other warning lights went out. The engine start to charge batteries and the OBDlink shows no codes. Any ideas? Thanks.

  6. ?, I have a 08 and I have the triangle of death and same error code(POA80). I had the hybrid battery checked and Module #8 is bad. I had a company install a refurbished battery in and they still had the same error code w/ 2 different refurbished batteries. I then replaced the inverter. The car runs fine but the car will randomly lose power and runs about 15 mph. I can pull over and shut the car off and wait 10 seconds, restart and the car runs fine. Any thoughts? Thanks.

  7. Thanks for your video. Please let me know how to find out if the temperature sensor is broken/not working!? ℹ️💜

  8. You should edit out where you advise people to move the temperature sensors like that. they're spread out for a reason, if a cell begins to become overcharged and show potential for a thermal event the fans will cut on and if it becomes hot enough it will shut down the vehicle before a possible thermal event does happen.

  9. Considering buying a Prius, but heard that the expensive caveats are the hybrid battery and the generator because they can be more expensive to fix than the car is even worth. This makes me feel better about the battery portion of things!!
