  1. You my friend are a life saver , I hope god is looking after you and your family very well , god bless and keep up the good work 👍

  2. WOW!!!!! You just showed me how to fix my problem. THANKS!!! X3 I have not been able to open my hood for months and my baby needs oil.

  3. Hey, this video showed me exactly where to look and what to look for. I used a large flat head screwdriver rather than a pry and it only took about 3-4 mins to pop it open. Cheers!!

  4. Hi thank you so much for the video! It’s very detailed and I feel confident I can do this myself! I don’t think I can afford the ramps right now so what’s another safe way to prop the car up so I can slide underneath? I know you can probably jack it but that seems a lil sketch to me. I have a Subaru Impreza it’s a little low to the ground but there’s still space I feel like. Any suggestions ?

  5. Nice detail showing everything . But what can you do if you don't have a replacement or can't afford . How can you fix it and also get it open . Having problems with my 2004l3 Cadillac Seville STS

  6. Thank you very much, it is so good explanation on this problem. I even didn't know such thing can happen. Please could yo tell if I want to have a spare Hood Release Cable and can't find for 2001 Saturn SL2, is it possible to modify another one to fit the car? Probably if it is same length of the cable you can. Thank you again.

  7. Here it is the very first chrisfix video I watched and ever since I watched this video I've been a huge fan thank you so much for giving us tutorials on how to fix stuff on our cars and I hope you get to 10 million as fast as possible

  8. Excellent video and all the better as I have a Jaguar X Type! My cable had come adrift the other (UK passenger) side. No need to remove the splashshield/front undertray but you cannot see the latch too well as there is a large pipe in the way. Nevertheless there is plenty of room to get you hand round it and release the latch with your fingers – no pry bar required. The cable was good except the nylon bush which keeps the actuator/bullet/nipple in place had perished. Rather than replace the whole cable I am currently looking into what may provide a suitable replacement. A nylon bush or electrical cable sleeve with a slit cut for the cable to be inserted into are the current favourites! EDIT: In the end the solution was to thread a 6mm spring washer around the cable to the left of the nipple as viewed fro the front of the car. It was then possible to lassoo the washer using two 100mm cable ties and secure the latter to the latch arm. One 100mm cable tie may suffice but would require much greater dexterity. remember to squeeze the ends of the washer closed and pull the cable ties as tight as they will go!

  9. Any advice on the driver's side door not working. I've seen everything on the door not opening from the outside. My problem is that it won't open from the inside

  10. If you don't want snagging when pulling cable through, you should tape from bottom to top when securing both cables together. That way the exposed ridges of tape job is facing down and won't try to unravel vertically when being pulled through, like in this video.
