Extreme and life-threatening situations give us little or no time to think about how to react.

This video and tips will help you save your life and survive a sinking vehicle underwater.

There are some very important steps to be taken in this unfortunate situation.

QUICK REFERENCE FOR ESCAPING A SINKING VEHICLE
==========
– Unfasten your seatbelt and roll down the window as fast as you can.

– Do not waste your time trying to open the door. (water pressure will prevent this)

– Use a special tool like the AWP 2-in1 Window Breaker or some heavy object with a pointed tip to break the window if you can’t roll it down.

– Push the kids out of the car first and only then leave it yourself. (Best if you can hold onto your kids)

– After some time, you’ll be able to open the door if there’s no way to get out through the window, but this is a last-ditch effort for the doors will not open until the car has filled with water.

– Follow the rising air bubbles to the surface.

You have to remember every second counts as you’ll only have about a minute to do what you should before the car sinks completely underwater.

Memorize the sequence: “unfasten the seat belt, lower the window, climb out of the car”.

If you have kids, only leave the car once you’ve gotten your kids out for there is no going back once you leave the car yourself.

If there’s no way to get out through the window, wait until the car fills completely with water, and then open the door. The rising air bubbles will lead you to the surface.

Evidence shows that 50% of those we’ve found underwater, trapped in their vehicles could have escaped if only they could have busted a window.

We found one young man who appeared to have tried the front doors, couldn’t open them or bust out the windows, moved to the back of the car, and failed to escape.

Another gentleman we found could not get out of his side windows, popped the back hatch, was crawling over the back seat, and drowned before making it out of his car.

If only these two had a 2-in-1 Emergency Window Breaker, we believe they would be alive today.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The 2-in-1 rescue tool attaches to your keychain with a detachable clip. In the event of an emergency, pull the tool away from the clip to reveal the blade. If the seatbelt is jammed, cut the belt by hooking the blade over and slicing it across.

To break the window, press the black head of the tool against the corner of the window and it will release the spring-loaded spike and shatter the glass. The rescue tool does not work on car windshields or non-tempered glass. It is effective only against tempered glass commonly used inside windows.

  1. I hope this video can give you the peace of mind, knowledge, and the correct tool you need to react to a sinking car. (I also pray you never have to use) We have sadly seen too many circumstances in our solved cases where if only they had this tool and watched this video then our services would not be needed. Thanks for watching – i hope this helps. I have another video on what to do if you have kids in the car on my channel if interested. -Josh

  2. You guys mentioned it doesn't work with cars after 2017. What would we do in that case? Actually a really scary thought…

  3. I purchased 15 Adventure with a Purpose window and seatbelt cutter tool. In about 6 months the razor became rusted and I attempted to cut a taught seatbelt and the razor was useless. I find that the cutting side was ineffective should it become rusted. I personally have not used the glass tool to give a review.

  4. Will you have more of the window breakers/ seat belt cutters? I’m wanting to get one for everyone in my family and also my best friends to keep in our cars. The website says the product is gone at the moment.

  5. I think the design should have a finger hole for better handling, I think it would easily fly from your fingers, especially in a panic situation.

  6. The page to order this life-saving tool says it doesn’t exist 😞😞😞😞😞
I need this tool for me and my loved ones ASAP
Please let us know where we can purchase these

  7. The link for the tool brings me to an error message that says “Page not found”. Is this tool still available for purchase?

  8. I bought 5. I actually had to use a window hammer once to get a stranger out of her pickup. I may not be you that's in trouble. I keep the one in my truck zip tied to the manual gear shift up high on the shaft. Seems to be a good spot. It'd probably work on any floor shift.

  9. I’d love to see a video like this that shows how to best get children out of the back, especially in car seats.

  10. I'd be interested to see the scenario where a solo adult driver has to retrieve their infant/toddler in their 5 point harness child safety seat in the rear and then escape before turtling.
I'm not sure it could be effectively done in the 30 to 60 seconds you have available.
You'd need to get yourself loose from the driver's seat, get access to your child in the rear (which would be more difficult with the rear-facing infant seat than the front facing toddler seat), get your child loose from their seat (which has a 5 point harness with an added chest restraint), get a window broken, then get your child and yourself out that window.
I'm having difficulty wrapping my head around how that could be done in such a limited timeframe and under such stressful, chaotic conditions.
I'd really love some further information, instruction, and demonstration regarding this issue.

  11. Hanging anything from the rear view mirror can get you pulled over & possibly a ticket in CA. Not a good spot for some.

  12. Can you do an updated one with multiple kids in the car. This is literally a fear of mine. How could I possibly get all of my kids out of the car from their car seats if it’s just me.

  13. We have a minivan and routinely tote our three teens in it s well as others. Each headrest has one of these keychains attached within reaching distance for passengers as well as our children having these attached to their backpacks for when they ride the school bus or in the car with someone else. We also have one on each of our keychains of course.

  14. As a nanny I think about the kids I nanny often. How am I going to get in the back and unstrap three kids and get them to the top
