What is going on in Jackson County, Alabama to cause 2 family members, Jimmy Wayne McCarson (61), and Jamie Dewayne Johnson, to go missing in 2019, (not together), but 4-months apart from one another?

This documentary brings you alongside Adventures With Purpose’s search in Stevenson, Alabama, following clues from a local fisherman who sent AWP some sonar images of a car underwater not more than 1.5 miles from Stevenson.

CASE DETAILS

Jimmy Wayne McCarson, 61
Jackson County, AL

Last seen on or around May 28th, 2019

Jackson County authorities are searching the Fabius coal mine for 61-year-old Jimmy Wayne McCarson.

Jackson County Sheriff Chuck Phillips says McCarson and one of his friends drove into the surface mine and got stuck.

The friend told deputies when he fell asleep, McCarson went for a walk and never came back.

Now, this is where it gets fuzzy for AWP because there were no reports of Jimmy’s Nisson Murano ever being found, and when the local fisherman reached out with multiple sonar images of a car underwater, it was in the size and shape of a Nissan Murano.

With this information, the Adventures With Purpose team couldn’t say no to stopping off in the area in search of Jimmy and his car.

On May 31st, 2019, a family member filed a missing person’s report with the Stevenson, Alabama Police Department, on behalf of Jimmy Wayne McCarson.

McCarson was reported to have left his residence in a grey Nissan Murano, along with a family friend on May 27th, 2019.

NOW THIS IS WHERE IT GET CRAZY – MISSING NEPHEW

On September 26th, 2019, Jamie Dewayne Johnson, Jimmy Wayne McCarson’s nephew, was also reported missing by a family member just 4-months after Jimmy goes missing.

That person said that no one has seen or talked to Jamie since September 3rd, 2019.

It wasn’t until we were in the search for both Jimmy and Jamie that new information came to AWP that Jamie was found dead under suspicious circumstances.

The rumors started swirling that Jimmy may have been murdered and that Jamie knew more than he should have and was going to go to the police.

True or Not?… We really don’t know.

Now the bad news…

While searching our hot spot for Jimmy, we get new information that the Nissan Murano was recovered shortly after Jimmy’s disappearance.

But wait… We have an oil sheen on the water where the local fisherman gave us coordinates and sonar images.

Unfortunately, the oil sheen was a result of organic matter from decomposing leaves which we’ve seen in the past, and the sonar images, which we were able to replicate on-scene, turned out to be nothing more than a large boulder in the shape of a Nissan Murano SUV Crossover.

The case quickly turned to what we believe is foul play and AWP made the decision to pull off the case for this reason.

Hug the ones you love for you never know when it might be the last time you see them.

  1. Garmin should be sponsoring every one of your episodes. You guys have surely sold more Garmin units than Fishing Life magazine.

  2. Gee it would be so nice to be watching the hummingbird watching underwater with you guys it's so much fun but you're not letting us watch it every couple of seconds at a time we get it we get a chance to seewe used to see more of it a year ago that was exciting oh well

  3. Hey guys I notice that you fly a divers down flag when there is no diver in the water. Not sure about all states but some state requires you to lower the flag when there is no diver in the water or when the boat is underway. Just a heads up.

  4. It’s sad that these guys are trying to find missing people and you got other people that are giving false info to them and wasting there time when they could be finding other people

  5. I can definitely see why the fisherman thought it was a car and thank goodness they have eyes out assisting you as requested.

  6. It’s “supposedly” not “supposebly “. No ‘b’ sound in that word, Doug. Love your mission, heart and work but you go in TV and the mispronunciation may be a distraction from your fine work.

  7. PLEASE LOOK INTO ANGEL GARCIA FROM HARTFORD CT HE DISAPPEARED WHILE RIDING A DIRT BILE SEVERAL SEVERAL YRS AGO THE FANILY BELIEVE THEY HERD ARBUING OUTSIDE THE HOME AND HIS VOICE WAS HERD BUT THERES NO REAL EVIDENCE BESIDES MANY MANY THEORIES THAT HE POSSIBLY WAS MURDERED OR HE HAD FALLEN INTO THE CONNECTICUT RIVER EVERY TIME I PASS BY THAT RIVER THERE'S A NETTING THERE I GUESS THAT STOPS CERTAIN THINGS FROM FLOWING THEY HAVE STATED THEY CANNOT DIVE THERE THAT IS TOO DANGEROUS EVERY TIME I TAKE THE HIGHWAY I DON'T EVEN KNOW THIS FAMILY AND I THINK ABOUT THIS YOUNG MAN HIS CASE HAS BEEN AIRED ON ID CHANNEL AS LOST ANGEL IN THE SHOW DISAPPEARED SOMEONE PLEASE HELP THIS FAMILY GIVE THEM THE ANSWERS THEY DESERVE BECAUSE A MAN IN A DIRT BIKE JUST DON'T DISAPPEAR INTO THIN AIR I TRULY BELIEVE IF THEY DIVE OVER IN THAT AREA THEY WILL FIND THIS YOUNG MAN I JUST HAVE THIS DEEP FEELING AND I WILL CONTINUE TO ASK THAT SOMEONE LOOK INTO THIS CASE UNTIL IT IS DONE BLESSINGS TO ALL OTHER FAMILIES IN LOST LOVED ONES

  8. If the nephew had already been talking to police concerning what he knew about the death of his uncle, the only value there'd be in someone killing the nephew would be to prevent him from testifying in court, because police would already have names, what happened, when.

  9. Wow 14.49 in the video and you could sware that's a car but when doug drops the magnet that's crazy and so glad you guys know what your talking about cuz on one veiw it looked like a truck with a cab on great work all as always

  10. Full watch with Thumbs up. I enjoyed learning that fisherman send you finds to investigate. What kind of Sonar is needed for the average person to buy, where & how much to help with this cause? Blessings and appreciation for all you all do to bring peace & closure to families. 😇🙏😇 Sharon in SC
