CASE DETAILS
AWP began our search for 66-year-old Annie Lee Hampton who was last seen October 10, 2019 in Marianna, Arkansas driving her 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix.
Starting our day at 9:00, Jacob Grubbs and his team from Chaos Divers met up with AWP, to begin our search.
The first location searched was the river nearest her home with no success.
The second location was Bear Creek Reservoir where we were able to identify a vehicle 29′ underwater using sonar.
Doug Bishop and Jacob Grubbs dove on the vehicle, pulling the Arkansas License plate 342 737 matching Miss Annie’s missing Grand Prix.
The vehicle was upside down, 85′ from shore, 29′ underwater.
The local Sheriff, Police Department and State Park Rangers arrived on the scene and prior to 2 pm, through the efforts of all organizations working together, the vehicle in question was removed, confirming human remains inside which have now been confirmed as Miss Annie.
It is our honor to have brought Miss Annie Lee Hampton home.

This was a cool customer law enforcement agency. Police departments need to realize its not a competition and AWP helps them to reduce or clear their missing person cold case files.

It’s unfortunate that the family believes someone did this her. Hopefully they will soon accept that this was most likely due to confusion or on purpose. Thankfully, she can be put to rest! ðŸ™ðŸ»

In a situation with suicide, and I’m not saying this is suicide, you might be surprised to find that a woman would choose a cleaner body of water too. It may sound strange, but it would be true.
Hello stupid here , if car goes in at high speed would it take the car further out into the water. DEMENTIA , Sufferer's have good day's and bad day's on good day some are able realise their situation and just go , I worked with sorry practically dead people ,and even though not related to them but worked 8n a care situation it broke my heart as it's has no rules who should be a sufferer of it .

It's called a compartment where the life vest would be not a department. Water freezes at 32 not 34. He said 3 degrees before freezing at 37.

The knowledge and planning are amazing. Recovery is healing for the family.
Every recovery is different. Every dive is different. But when you hear we have found Miss Annie's vehicle or wr have found Nathans truck it hits Doug like he's that person's family member. Its hard and it hurts and the things Jared and Doug and other recovery divers have seen and the pain they have went through I know its hard. And they keep going to find others loved ones to bring them home to rest in peace. Some angels come with beautiful wings, but other angels come in diving suits. Sending prayers and strength to all of the angels in the world. 💙💙💙💙💙💜💜💜💜

I wonder if she was either confused about where she was and ended up in the lake, Or decided to go on her own terms while she still remembered who she was. To grow feeble and not be able to remember anything about your existence truly sounds like a fate worse than death.I pray that me nor anyone else I know ends up getting it once we're elderly.
My mom is in the beginning stages of dementia and I took her car keys away from her, she hates me for it, but this is one of my biggest fears for her. Thank you for finding Miss Annie and bringing her home.

Of course this was awesome in the fact that they found the car and the cold case was solved. However my comment is directed at the choice of using a tow truck instead of a boom truck: it was distressing to watch the roof of the car being dragged across the asphalt and then realize it had been drug on the river bottom too! The concern I had was the remains were being disturbed and possibly even crushed!

I used to work with dementia patients. It’s an AWFUL, life taking disease. Not only does it take the patient’s mind, but it rips at any and all who help care for them. God bless y’all for this.
Angels on earth â¤ï¸
Just wanted to give you guys a small tip. I kayak fish a lot and my kayaks get rubbed through holes in bottom from dragging on ground off and on. I finally glued vinyl on bottom areas where the bottom areas comtact the bottom of kayak. I have also used heavy duty Gorilla tape. For last four years I have no more holes grinded through.
Just a little tip.
Over time the bottom areas tgat make contact with ground will wear through. Even if you only drag them occasionally.
