We found 23-year-old Carey Mae Parker’s (mother of three) car underwater, solving the mysterious disappearance of what happened to Carey, and why she never arrived at her son Brian’s birthday party 30-years ago in Hawk Cove, Texas.

Carey Mae Parker
Missing Since: 03/17/1991
Missing From: Quinlan, Texas
Sex: Female
Race: White
Date of Birth: 05/12/1967 (53)
Age: 23 years old
Height and Weight: 5’7 – 5’10, 115 – 125 pounds

Distinguishing Characteristics
Caucasian female. Brown hair, blue eyes. Parker has an indentation on the side of her calf due to an accident, and scars on her left arm from an injury caused by a broken window. She has previously broken her pelvis and chipped her tailbone. Parker may wear eyeglasses. Her ears are pierced.

Details of Disappearance
Parker was last seen in Quinlan, Texas on March 17, 1991. She was driving a blue and gray 1980 or 1981 Buick Skylark with Texas license plates at the time of her disappearance. She has never been heard from again.

At the time she went missing, Parker lived with friends in Quinlan and worked the night shift at Flanders PrecisionAire, an air conditioning company in Terrell, Texas. She has three children, all of whom were under the age of six in 1991. She disappeared only a few days before her son’s birthday, and she had been planning a party for him. Parker left her last paycheck behind, and it was eventually mailed to her father’s house. There hasn’t been any activity on her driver’s license since 1991.

When Parker’s father found out she was missing, he told a friend who was a police constable, and the constable promised to file a missing person report. Parker’s sister also attempted to file a report with the Terrell Police Department, but the police logged it as a welfare check and not a missing persons report. It wasn’t until 2010 that Parker’s family found out no missing person report had ever been filed. Her sister then filed a second police report with the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office.

In February 2021, almost 30-years after Parker disappeared, we found her vehicle submerged, upside down, in fifteen feet of water in Lake Tawakoni off the 751 causeway.

We worked with the Hunt County Sheriffs Office and were only able to recover half the car.

The car pulled apart due to its age being underwater for so long, and no human remains were found inside that evening.

Weeks later, another underwater investigation team led by the state went in to investigate and authorities hoped to uncover more evidence. Nothing was found at that time.

Our team here at AWP believes a proper and thorough investigation was not conducted. As such, we have plans to return in September to finish removing Carey’s car and do a proper forensics search for any human remains in the area.

Parker’s family believes she’s deceased and now has the answers they have been seeking for the past 30 years.

  2. If my mom had been missing since I was six, it would bring so much relief to know that she died, rather than just abandoning me. Much thanks to AWP, and to the psychic who told the sister that Carrie was in deep water. That, plus the balloons, is an eerie reminder of things that happen, which we cannot explain.

  3. Guys great work ❤️❤️. you must have nightmares at times with the bodies you find it must take guts to do what you do. Keep helping family's

  4. @5:36 is your usb plug in so bad that you have to use a water bottle? If I could donate i would. Great group of people giving closure to people.

  5. Very powerful, great job AWP FAMILY, seems like everything fell in place, the physic ,the balloons and the sister never giving up. I'm so sorry for this family loss. Now they can have some peace, I sure hope that is the case here. God bless you all. Charlotte, N. C.

  6. HOLY SMOKES!!! You guys are absolutely unbelievable!! I am speechless!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️

  7. I don't know if you have done a video on decomposition of a body but the viewers would probably be interested to know what water does to a body and the length of time underwater. It would be interesting for educational purposes so we know what you have to look for as time passes.

  8. The Smurf moment…made it real for me. And to think she’s been there for 30 years right off the road. From now on whenever I pass a body of water I’ll wonder who may be resting on the bottom.

  9. This one is heartbreaking. They have the car but no remains. Even though it's obvious she was in the car when it went into the water, without her remains it still leaves Carey's family in limbo. Can human remains realistically be found under these circumstances?

  10. A year later and you are up a million more subs then your goal at the moment of posting this video.
You guy's are simply AMAZING ! Lost for 30 yrs and you found her in how many minutes ?! Exceptionnal work ! Thank you for all the closures and peace of mind you provide to so many famillies. 😘🕊🤍

  11. At least now they know what happened to their mother and that's key and I know you found remains on your second dive. I wonder if there is some way that some sort of wrap can be put under and around the car for these cars that have been underwater for decades and are falling apart. Or maybe flip it over if you can first. I'm sure it a mess no matter what you and you really don't have a lot of manpower to do all this, but think about it. I can tell by what you said at the end that you were super concerned and speaking from the heart.

  12. The Smurf sticker just did me in. For that poor little boy on his birthday waiting for his mom to come. My heart goes out to the family. AWP again you guys are the best.

  13. When I saw the balloons I started tearing up. Huge sign, bless her sister for never giving up her efforts ❤️

  14. I normally give Law enforcement a pass when it comws to finding someone or a vehicle underwater. BUT….I do not give any Agency in Texas a pass. Not after Uvalde. The incompetence is astounding and frankly criminal.
