Two video episodes of the U.S. Air Force Airmen while conducting loading the ammunition onto the A-10 Thunderbolt II’s GAU-8/A Avenger internal system for upcoming exercises.
The ammunition loading system(GFU-8) is able to upload and download the 30mm rounds simultaneously, enabling the aircraft’s gun to be reloaded rapidly for upcoming missions. The GFU-8 loads over 1,100 30-millimeter rounds of ammunition.

Why is so much made over the
30mm gun in the A10, when virtually all Russian fighters have a 30mm gun.
Believe me, I want ours to be better. But, other than holding more ammo, is the A10's gun
