Kerala’s own broadband service, KFON, is set to achieve the target of providing 100,000 connections by the end of December. These include home connections, dark fiber provisioning, corporate connections, and operations based on commercial infrastructure such as Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) networks. KFON continues to offer the best internet services in the market, with various offers, high-speed plans, no data limits, and free modes.
KFON has provided connections to 23,642 government offices so far. Commercial FTTH connections have reached 39,878, and 5,236 free connections have been given to economically weaker households, all of which are active. In addition, 103 internet leased line connections and 223 SME broadband connections are in use. A total of 6,307 kilometers of dark fiber have been installed for eight commercial customers. KFON currently has 69,016 subscribers, with 3,558 local network providers working under agreements.
