Marcos: PH backs hydrogen technology for cars – Everything Law and Order Blog

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. expressed support for hydrogen technology as the country has been grappling with the effects of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

In his speech during the showcase of the Next Generation Tamaraw, Marcos said that by using hydrogen technology in vehicle electrification, sustainable transport solutions have been presented.

This will intensify the Philippines’ call for environmental stewardship, according to Marcos.

“Embracing this responsibility becomes even more urgent as we confront the increasing frequency and severity of natural disasters, exacerbated by our position in the typhoon belt,” Marcos said.

“Severe Tropical Storm Kristine has now impacted our nation—particularly up here in Luzon—through relentless rains and flooding, and this underscores, once again, to the –every single Filipino the importance of adaptability and of preparedness,” he added.

He said the Philippines is dedicated to implementing more inclusive, adaptable, and technologically-driven strategies for emissions reduction across all sectors and industries.

To recall, Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation has made a P5.5 billion investment in the production of the Philippine-made Next Generation Tamaraw.
