18. I don't know the other case, but it sounds like the girlfriend should have had the 25 years and maybe her ex-husband the 7 years. It sounds like the girlfriend may be the ringleader in this, especially since she spent 7 years in jail for child abuse and a child's death.

What typically happens is only one child is usually abused because of minimal reasons like “they look like their mom” “they’re living my dream and I’m jealous” “they get all the attention from the parent that I want attention from (example: stepmom is jealous of daughter getting attention from the dad). “Getting back at the other parent” etc…
