DETAILS: Yet again, police officers pulled over an innocent driver, subjecting the individual to the so-called "felony stop" or "high risk stop," which is the process wherein they treat an innocent American citizen as if they were a terrorist serial killer, forcing the person to get out of their car, walk backwards, and so on, all occurring at the barrel of a loaded gun. This time the victim was a teenage girl in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The taxpayers shouldered the burden of the $250,000 settlement for the obvious police misconduct that occurred. However the police department has "no comment" for the community that employs them. And the city itself doesn't even bother to say "no comment."
Here is a blog post with additional information about these incidents, which routinely occur across the nation: https://thecivilrightslawyer.com/2023/05/02/cops-point-guns-over-their-dumb-mistakes-its-policy/

"not it" instead of telling officers to stand down, proceeds to pull service weapon and give unlawful commands.
Can you state under which law which statute? Is this what I’ve read title 18 241 and 242 deprivation of rights or something 1983. Can you explain some of that like how it all works?
The cops lack of apology to the young girl shows an absence of empathy that comes from years of training & police culture!
She said…. I'm getting ready to do a "high risk" stop. Implying she was in the process of conducting a "high risk" stop.
Keep listening…. she's being given directions, towards the "high risk" stop….already in progress.
She pulls up, get out car while saying, That's not it….While a male cop is yelling Hands up, Hands out the window…
She already knew that was NOT the stolen car they were looking for….but continued Anyway!
Pause at about 5:04….The driver is barely in handcuffs good and the other cop is already In the car.
Pause again about 5:07 and the other cop has popped and is now looking in trunk!
10:32 They were so excited about their 1/4 million $ cash they forgot to make sure the settlement included appropriate action for the officers who violated her rights & a half-dozen policies
I'm glad that young Lady was not gunned down by those officers, they better have a decent reason for their actions, reason not excuse. License plate tags are there for that purpose. Well I didn't know is not a reason, it's the excuse a 4-year-old gives you when they ate the cake without any permission.
When cops point a gun at you, thei finger is on the trigger and theres one in the chamber and safety off. Imagine being at the range and your friend points a loaded gun at you with his finger on the trigger. You realize how dangerous these cops are. But cops will say "hey it was a mistake, stop whining " smh. They literally look at it this way
Perfect example of guilty until proven innocent.
Mistakes like this get people killed . Cops make to many mistakes and seemingly don't care enough to be bothered to be careful.
If these public servants do not front up or be accountable for their negligent actions would we care if any them drop?
Seems like these kinds of encounters are on the rise.
Artificial Intelligence & robotics for law enforcement???
Problem/Reaction/Solution
It's interesting how different jurisdictions around the country treat vehicle theft. I had a car stolen in Anchorage. When I called the police department to report the theft, the woman who answered my call actually said, "So what do you want us to do"? Vehicle theft in Alaska is so common, the law enforcement agencies don't even care.
I was attacked by Phoenix Police in October 2023. I was having a mental break down however made no threats to anyone, and made one comment about how I felt over a situation. The police showed up at my door and I mistakenly cooperated by exiting my residence. During this time my Service Dog came out with me. I walked around the corner to a group of officers who planned to shoot me at their first available opportunity (according to their bodycams) and I took a step back around the corner and told my dog to come here. They were not allowing my Service Dog to return to me. Within 5 minutes they escalated the situation by tasing me, shooting me with beanbags, split my head open, brought me to the hospital and forcefully gave me medication, had me sleep in the suicide watch in jail and charged me with 7 aggravated assaults against officers because my dog approached them. Within 48 hours the prosecutor dropped all charges against me and we've had an open law suit since around December 2023. The body footage was not available until around June or July if I remember correctly. As embarrassing as it is on my behalf, I will submit this footage in the future for transparency.
Additionally, once I was arrested, they went into my closed home without any warrants to search.
In the end, no crime was committed by me, as regardless of specific situations of me being overly emotional, I know better than to resist or cause violence towards police.
I still fully support the police, I work with police, but do not appreciate certain officers choices at times.
Contact your congressman to make cops pay themselves for lawsuits.
@3:56. I clearly hear thr female cop says "its not it" smh. She knew right away it was the wrong car but still followed through, probably after seeing she was a black woman driving.
3:57 Cop says “It’s not it!” as soon as she sees car stopped
I wish all this American crap with brainless law enforcement didn't infest my youtube feed
What happened to illegal search and seizure?
She's laughing all the way to the bank
Why was the tag even ran in the first place
Thinking about how traumatic this was… a gun being pulled on you for nothing 😢
Could you see how much control that crazy officer DIDN’T have while driving or in pursuit of the NON stollen vehicle? She’s going to hurt someone or accidentally shoot someone!
Also, the aftermath of this type of thing staying with a person long after the incident is over is not a fallacy! Years of suffering all in the name of OFFICER SAFETY!!
Cops: All we did was point a gun at her. Why is she traumatized?
I ran a repo company and I know that the LPR camera is not always accurate. They know that the same problem happens with their cameras. But I was always smart enough to double check the plates manually. I would have lost my license to repo if I would’ve taken the wrong car. But I don’t have Qualified immunity. FTP
Pathetic masculine video
that's where you're wrong the government paid nothing the taxpayers paid that bill. take away QI and this will stop happening.
Is she a teenager or is she an adult? She said she was 18.
I'd also be filing a lawsuit against the license plate reader company
I find it hilarious how on American police dramas, no matter how trivial the scenario, they'll run in with guns drawn like army commandos in enemy territory. But it seems that they often act like that in real life, too.
When that cop called her “dear” but seconds ago had guns drawn on her. 🙄
Nah, y’all FA !!!!
Knew it was the wrong car, STILL went ahead with the felony stop. They have no appreciation of the danger they put her in.
The cost of doing business.
No accountability.
Earning the hate.
I have a question… why is it when cops abuse their power and abuse the public why is it they don’t get arrested or charged or why is it so hard for that to happen ?
"We're going to protect and serve the sh*t out of you." Cha-ching!!
