Okay so I might have kind of a dark theory as to why the parents bought him the gun knowing damn well he was unstable… I think they wanted him to end himself- whether they fully admitted it outloud to eachother or not, I obviously don't fully know. But I do believe that the thought of him harming himself was in their minds.
