Colby had the courage to confront his mother and call her out on her BS. He didn’t hold back, didn’t soften it for her, and yet she laughed. Rather than her changing when she met Chad Daybell, I think she just stopped putting on an act, quit inhibiting herself, because he put her on his pedestal of being his “goddess”, and she felt comfortable with that role. She could be herself with him, ruthlessly plotting the deaths of their spouses and JJ and Tylee. They dressed up the plot with religiously themed justification, but at the end of the day this was an everyday plan to dispose of the inconvenient people in their lives and claim life insurance and benefits to fund their lives together. I’m honestly relieved that Brandon Boudreaux didn’t get killed too. When he testified in earlier proceedings he cried more tears for those children than their own mother. Chad’s case next. After that I hope that Colby, Brandon and everyone affected by all this will find some peace and healing.

What the justice department and family are dealing with is someone who is mentally twisted and consumed in a religion that causes her to feel justified. There is no changing this. She cannot see the wrong. Thankfully the jury has found her guilty since your video here has been made.
She should get the Death penty
Having been through a lot of life changing trauma, I feel so much empathy for Colby. This kind of trauma will never heal. Like constant pain, it’s about daily management. There’s no forgetting; there is only the ability to live your life without constant PTSD ruling your thoughts and actions. He is a lovely person and incredibly brave to speak openly about this awful nightmare.

Im so very sorry for Colby. I hope he can get close to his uncle Adam, his cousin Zach and his second cousin Megan. They are the healthiest members of that group.
I truly believe it was a good thing she got locked up because Colby would be declared dark and a zombie if he kept pestering and questioning about the kids. Lori would not have taken anyone getting in her way.

I really believe that woman who started listening to the man that wrote the books, used her own agency to choose to believe this man's ideas, and she got caught up, she wanted a new husband and she thought that these kids were too dark to live and she really lost her mind, she really did, and it might take her a very long time to realize what she really has done.
