8-year-old abducted from home by family’s landscaper – Crime Watch Daily Updates – Everything Law and Order Blog

In this episode of Crime Watch Daily Updates: 8-year-old Kirsten Hatfield of Midwest City, Oklahoma, disappeared in the middle of the night. Her window was cracked open, and her blood-stained underwear had been discarded in the backyard.

Kirsten was never seen again.

The little girl’s disappearance remained a mystery for 18 years until investigators in Oklahoma cracked the case after finding Anthony Palma’s DNA on Kirsten’s underwear. Anthony Palma lived near Kirsten, and several people told investigators initially that he did yard work for her family.

He provided a DNA sample, and it came back as a match to the DNA found on Kirsten’s window sill and underwear. Anthony was arrested in October 2015.

Anthony went to trial two years later in 2017 and was convicted of murder. A judge sentenced him to life in prison without parole.

Kirsten’s body still has not been found, and the likelihood of locating her remains diminished in January 2019 when Anthony’s cellmate beat and strangled him to death.

  1. This case always upset me , I never understood it esp with the underwear .. and having the evidence why he couldn’t tell anyone where the body was ! He was a child killer that’s why he was killed in jail

  2. Weird, that they use the word "panties" to describe a 8-year old's underwear. Poor baby… So glad that guy received prison justice. Was this the one where is was messing with a trailer days after?

  3. Who knows how long he kept her ? 😢 So sad .. in some dungeon right next door .

whoever investigated previously sucks . His RECORD stated his crime was to Home invade . obviously a woman stronger than a kid fought him however who knows what he would have done . but umm 2 doors down with similar behavior how tf did they miss that ???

  4. I absolutely LOVE this narrator! I’m glad she’s returned cuz I haven’t heard her voice in a while. She adds a haunting element to her stories 👻

  5. So the landscaper who was originally found guilty for the kidnapping was killed before the dna was ever retested ? That’s sad . I hope the neighbor tells where the body is , maybe for a life without parole plea & he tells where her remains are ?

  6. I don't think we needed to know that her mom used to use drugs, that really makes no sense. Just because you bought drugs from someone doesnt mean theyre going to assault and kidnap your child. I dont it just rubbed me the wrong way…

  7. I don't know how this guy was overlooked for all those years but I'm glad he was caught , I only wished that he had disclosed where He put Kirsten , at least give the family some closure

  8. Vile, man. He may have even kept her. When it comes to obvious abductions, especially those of children, the USA needs a federal law that allows the police to search every house in a set radius round the crime scene. It would be a lot of work, but it could save lives. Statistically, the odds are that the victim is known by the perpetrator and could be living close by as in this tragic case.

  9. Got to love ❤️ DNA 💖
    Karma will be waiting.
