Georgia woman Hannah Payne took the stand and testified in her own defense on Monday. Payne stands accused of murdering Kenneth Herring after she followed him when he was involved in a hit-and-run accident. Payne then fatally shot Herring while he was in the driver’s seat of his car, which she claims was in self-defense. The 25-year-old is charged with malice murder, two counts of felony murder, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Payne could face life behind bars.

Didn’t he knock the phone out of her hand? She went up to him with a gun in her hand,I find it hard to believe he would have grabbed her knowing there was a gun facing him. She seemed to make a lot of implications and assumption, would an officer have told her to go after him or what is more likely he was telling her to go on her way as her assistance or presence was no longer required and the operator told her not to chase after him. Thee was no assumption or confusion in what they told her, it was very clear and she chose it ignore them.
She was totally delusional; it was not her job to follow this man in a damaged vehicle.
