    I don’t know enough about the case to speak to the armorer’s responsibility but there would need to be a solid documented paper trail of the chain of custody of the weapon and the status of the weapon when the care, custody, and control of the weapon changed hands.
    If the armorer did everything to ensure a cleared and safe weapon changed hands how do we know that the chain of custody wasn’t broken and the status of the weapon changed undocumented.
