An animation video played in court Tuesday shows Gwyneth Paltrow’s version of the ski crash that she claimed was Terry Sanderson’s fault. Dr. Irving Scher walked the jury through the animation that shows Sanderson crashing into her from behind before they fell to the ground.

  1. As he was zigzaging…. He met paltrow, before he skied his full line/length on that last zag….. And as he got close to paltrow, he latched on, to paltrow,… And instead of skiing his full length of the line he was taking, meeting up with paltrow cut his line short,… …. And so he's seen her, skied towards her, latched on to her, ( thus not finishing his original and full length of his ski line)… & Then proceeded to alter his trajectory so as to now go in the direction of paltrow, so he's latched on, gone with paltrows flow , … And so he's now behind her,… And they go Abit, and then he brings her down, ( to take full advantage of the so called innocent bodily contact)

  2. Terry Sanderson appeared very convincing. I think he honestly believes his side of the story. But probably has some brain damage which is affecting his actual recollection of what happened.

  3. Are you kidding me, this is only because she has money, sheesh. I was thinking this was a snowmobile "ski," accident, I'm no professional skier, but they could've avoided hitting her, although she would have caught some snow. Good thing people were recording.

  4. The fact that the legal system allows this trash to get so far is hilarious. What a waste of time and an embarrassing money grab (oh well, at least his lawyers getting rich). A system with no common sense.

  5. It kinda looks likw he went out and around on purpose to catch up with her and does it on purpose. Why else was his friend calling all around findinf out indo about Gwen. I bet they were all in on it!!

  6. She won because she had so much more money so she could pay for a very convincing animation. Not necessarily true, but juries are people and convinced by expensive animated graphics. I think she ran into him because she’s wasn’t looking

  7. Skiing in control means you have to maintain a safe distance between yourself and other skiers – and this is especially true when you are skiing behind someone. Because they can't adjust to people behind them – as they typically don't even see them. But the skier in the rear can and should adjust both speed and direction according to the movements and speed of those in front of you, that are down-slope from you. My guess is the guy was going way too fast and his vision issue hampered his ability to self-correct in time.

  8. She is making small turns down the hill and is in total control of herself and is at zero fault. Just pretend u r her skiing and u can see. Now put yourself in his skis.He is making wide turns and it’s his responsibility to look up the hill and estimate people coming down before making the right turn. It shows he doesn’t have control of himself as a skier and is using wide turns to slow himself down. He doesn’t get a clear path crossing diagonally down the mountain. He has to be in control and have the ability to make a full stop, a quick turn or be experienced enough to turn and go straight down. He clearly doesn’t have control of himself and went towards her direction.

  9. The fact that this man was blind in one eye and they said he has vision problems in the other eye, he should not have been skiing. Seems like he didn’t see her because of his vision problems

  10. As a person who has skied in the past, the person from the uphill side is responsible for making sure he does not run into anyone below him. Yes, it's a video recreation of the accident and he's responsible for not only his own injuries but any she received in the accident. Had this not been a person with wealth, the guy never would have sued.

  11. maybe he s just a creep who likes to bump into hot mamas for sport, and probably didnt even know who he was spoonbumping into..this doesn't look very accidental in the animation.

  12. He crashed into another skier because he was an incompetent skier & and he totally was out of control. He caused the other skier harm. Simple. Charge him with being an incompetent skier who has no business in a ski slope.

  13. Good thing I'm not on the jury – I vote for Paltrow and I'm not even a fan of hers. He waited 7 years to file the lawsuit and he is skiing while being half blind ! On top of that he has traveled all around the world AFTER the accident with no issues ?

  14. Another factor to keep in mind are the snow conditions on that day, at that hour which greatly impacts ski performance and if the skis were waxed and edges sharpened. The coefficient of kinetic friction may be irrecoverable for the skis.

  15. There is another component to making a turn, it's twisting the feet, especially the opposite foot of the direction of the turn, especially at lower speeds. If she loaded her ski, it would be harder to twist the ski that's loaded. The direction that everyone is moving is critical to get right because that is the basis of the physics of the crash. How do they know that his skis did not straddle one of her skis? I've skied since the age of three years old and I have over 20 years of combined ski snowboard resort and Backcountry ski and snowboard experience.
