I almost never agree with the police but the man was being belligerent to the police his dogs are out he was in the wrong and I'm sure the police wanted to make it clear to him that his dog shouldn't have been out and by locking him up hopefully he learned a lesson and I understand they may have violated his rights but he violated their rights and being a normal respectful responsible dog owner he would have avoided the interaction and the handcuffs. When you're in the wrong you don't run your mouth to police, you might have the right to but you better have a civil rights lawyer. And you better have it on body cam. They should have arrested him for not controlling his dogs, that charge would have stuck.

I ABSOLUTELY cannot abide by people with vicious or otherwise dogs! It’s all fun and games until a child gets mauled.I have had issues with neighbors dogs and had the conversation with the owners that I will not allow that. Sorry, I agree with the police on this one. That woman coming out and saying “ our dogs are harmless” is just a joke. You saw how harmless they were when the arrest was made. These neighbors are a complete nightmare.
My mind has been changed. End qualified immunity and retrain current officers & a required Continuing Education credit on Constitutional Law.

It isn't disorderly conduct, especially on your own property. He isn't yelling. He isn't causing a disturbance. He casually swore. Swearing isn't a crime. Swearing IS a part to free speech. Just as a middle finger is free speech. Just as wearing a tee shirt that has swear words printed on it is, free speech. Even a sticker decal on your motor vehicles is also free speech, which are all protected rights. Cops in USA are way out of control.

The police can’t be the ones offended by cursing. I was taught this when I went through the police academy back in 94. I’ll be surprised if the arrest stands.
It appears that there has been an abuse of authority by law enforcement. It may be necessary to review their conduct and consider appropriate actions regarding their positions.
